Massiah Smalls (6’2 2028 William Flemming HS) is a smooth shooting lefty who can flat out fill it up from deep off the catch at a highly efficient rate. He can also knock down shots off the dribble with impressive consistency using dribble pull-ups and space creating step back jumpers. He’s an impressive athlete, light on his feet with good quickness but also strong and bullish when attacking off the bounce. Massiah is a punishing finisher at the rim using his powerful frame and strong upper body to shrug off contact to finish. He blends perimeter sharp shooting accuracy, fluid shot mechanics and deep range with timely bursts and bruising downhill drives, strong and physical with nimble footwork and slippery creativity. He uses crossovers, in and outs and between the legs dribbles and a decisive quickness attacking space. He can burst through a seam with quickness or use his shifty footwork to maneuver tight spaces. Massiah impacts both ends of the floor with his tenacity as a rebounding presence from the guard position and his quick footwork and harassing on ball defensive pressure. He is a high IQ playmaker mixing his scoring prowess with the ability to create for others. The catalyst both with his productivity on both ends of the floor and his leadership and energy.
