I don’t normally read HMG frameworks on a Sunday morning, BUT today is an exception as I catch up on reading.
The @FCDOGovUK recently published their ‘UK Humanitarian Framework’ which sets out how 🇬🇧 will deliver its ambitions on humanitarian preparedness & response in the IDS.
How do we connect donors & academics? 🤝
How do we turn research into action? 💥
This has been a critical role of #K4D for @FCDOGovUK & partners over the past 6 years, as Roz Price, a researcher from @IDS_UK, reflects.👇

Update: the genie is out of the bottle.
Aid budget likely to go to 0.55/GNI! The increase covers est. 1/3 of domestic spending of refugees.
That's a start: 0.5 has been breached. Sense prevails.
Not good: so much domestic spending still presented to world as overseas aid.
