@AlastairWood4 exactly. we're caught between 2 systems at the mo. This was the risk with making the formation switch, get it wrong and you are caught in the middle and not able to do either effectively. Don't get me wrong, I wanted the switch, just dreading that we may not pull it off

I know the club plays its cards close to its chest but how are we not linked with loanees? We’ve fostered a reputation for being a great club to send young talent to develop and we could do with that young talent now. I really thought if we didn’t buy we’d get a good loan.#pnefc

@AlastairWood4 Yeah I agree. The business we have done is good, I have no issue with what we have done just that it’s incomplete. As you say something has gone wrong, but (as the club likes to say) it’s not for lack of trying (I say that with a straight face 😅)

I feel like we’ve been circling this idea of recruiting for a new system for a bit and hesitated before because of the risk..and been stung for a variety of reasons. Hope to be eating my words!

@followSaints76 2. Also think he played as a winger elsewhere, but we got good results playing him inside, shadow striker role. Think this also helped avoid injury. Good in tight spaces, twisting round opposition and tying them in knots.

@followSaints76 1.Always looking to make something happen which means he doesn't always play it safe but worth it as he makes things happen. Loans prior to us he was often injured, but he avoided that with us, and I think it is cos we managed his minutes. rarely played 90 but made the time count

@post_liberal Completely depends but yeah, this is what happened for me. My dad is from Preston. My grandad was a PNE fan so my dad and uncle were, now me and my nephew are despite not living in Preston. But I also get inheriting Preston and inheriting Liverpool are a bit different 😂
