What many don’t want to acknowledge is that the burden of immigration (illegal or legal) often rests on the shoulders of the poor.
They need to compete for access to schools, clinics, water, electricity, housing etc.
Since I’m in energy, I’ll use load reduction to illustrate.
We may differ on the methods employed by March On March. We may speculate about its funders and, by extension, question its bona fides. Yet it would be difficult to deny that the March On March has succeeded in compelling the government, the nation and the African continent as a whole to confront immigration as a matter of urgent public importance.

Hi guys, my older brother has launched a platform that connects customers planning any sort of traditional ceremony to vetted vendors. The platform is called UMCIMBI and officially launched today.

Private Wealth banking is overrated.
Today we tap to pay. Airport lounges are cheap, and only useful if you actually fly often. Paying R650 a month just to say you have a black card is madness.
Our parents needed it for status back then, but today? Bro, you’re tapping with your watch or phone like everyone else. Just downgrade and save your dollars!🤞

How?
1. Eskom is now profitable.
2. SAA has turned around.
3. PRASA has doubled its trips.
4. We’ve been removed from the grey list
5. S&P has upgraded for the first time since 2025.
6. State institutions (such as the SIU) clamping down on corruption have been strengthened.
This actually happens so much more often than people realise, so please don’t beat yourself up. When you cut back on alcohol and start training more, your body goes through a chemical shift. Alcohol is basically liquid sugar, so when you remove it, your brain starts looking for another quick dopamine hit, and sugar becomes the substitute. That’s why the cravings feel so intense and urgent.
Here’s how you can manage it in a healthy, realistic way:
1. Add natural sweet alternatives. Fruit, Greek, yoghurt with berries, smoothies (70 veg/30 fruit). Homemade iced tea with honey. A spoon of peanut or almond butter with apple slices hits the sweet-and-satisfying combo. Chia puddings made with milk, chia seeds, vanilla, and a touch of honey or fruit. Coconut water. Dark chocolate. All can help satisfy the craving without spiraling into a sugar cycle and help weather it out and you can review this later.
2. Hydrate with electrolytes, not just water.
Sometimes cravings are actually mineral imbalances, especially when you start gym. Add electrolytes, coconut water, or even a pinch of salt and lemon to your water.
3. Reduce the intensity of your sugar intake, not cold turkey. I highly advise going cold turkey because the relapse will be just as hard. If you’re taking 4-5 teaspoons of sugar, cut down by a spoon per week or half your intake. Gradual reduction helps the brain adjust.
4. Fuel your body properly properly.
Make sure each meal has protein, healthy fats, and fibre. When your blood sugar dips, your brain will scream for Coke because it’s the fastest sugar source.
5. Watch your sleep.
Lack of sleep increases sugar cravings by up to 30% because your body wants quick energy.
6. Be patient with your body.
You removed alcohol, that’s major. Your body is rebalancing. The cravings won’t last forever.
Your body just needs time to adjust to this new version of you. 🫶🏾
I think that South Africa and KwaZulu-Natal are better today because of the decision that we took to be part of the GPU and the GNU.
Just in 1 year KZN MEC for Finance, Francois Rodgers brought down the deficit of this province from R9 billion to R300 million .
WARNING TO ALL SA 🇿🇦 MOTORIST !!!
From 1 December 2025, 69 Municipalities go live on the new AARTO system. What does this mean for you as a driver in SA?
1. Fines will follow you home.
In the past, if you got a traffic fine in GQ and you lived in GP, there was no single system tracking all your fines. AARTO will be national so it won't matter where you got the fine.
2. Traffic Fines will be served electronically on your phone and or email. You will have no excuse of not receiving the fine through the Post Office.
3. You will have 32 days from the date you received the notice to pay the fine at a discounted fee of 50%. Should you fail, the full amount is due thereafter.
4. You will not be able to renew your license until all outstanding fines are paid.
5. A point system will be rolled out (Sep 2026) and linked to your fines. We all start at 0 and accumulate demerit points each time we commit a traffic vilation. (Eg you will get 3 points for using a cellphone while driving and 6 points for driving under the influence of alcohol).
6. Consequences:
Your license will be suspended for 3 months if you reach 15 points.
If you get 3 suspensions, your license will be cancelled.
However, 1 Points will be removed every 3 months should you have no new infringements.
Please make sure you are aware of this as you go on your holiday in December.
