The Gov knows they cannot leech off the Americans for defense anymore so like a bloodsucker they are turning to the EU , Spending money on roads , runways and new bases does NOTHING for the badly needed equipment , new jets , subs that take years and years to review while they fill their pockets. Construction investment is a whole different ballgame than buying big ticket items from big defense companies. Over 2,000 Roshel vehicles shipped to Ukraine not 1 single vehicle in the Canadian army.
