@lamargafford I tend to agree, but like….why? What’s the reason? Other than “that’s the way it used to always be done?” Do we know if that’s what they did at the inception? Why do we HAVE to do it that way?
Reminder that this is not a double play because the batter-runner is attempting to go to second on what would have been ruled an error, what is called an "intervening misplay" (which is used to be my fantasy baseball team name until I stopped playing).
