@Hoopss Victor is young and we all make mistakes when we are young. As far as I know, his mistakes that have generated ridicule are limited to basketball - all of which are trivial mistakes in the grand scheme of things.
Hate is like a hot coal burning a hole in the hater’s heart.
Pop was the JV coach when I was a freshman & sophomore ballplayer at USAFA. There was a fellow named Hank Egan who was the head coach. I only had a few direct interactions with him and he seemed pleasant enough. In my final meeting with him he told me he was an average student at USAFA — which makes him a relative genius in the NBA. He was very confident in himself— as were most of the cadets & graduates. Again, He seemed like a decent fellow - but he was an officer & 10 years older than me so I really didn’t know him. And after my time at USAFA, I never thought I’d hear of him again. USAFA has never had a good basketball program- but USAFA contributed 2 successful pro coaches Pop & Bill Parcells. Both men were abysmal coaching failures in college.
So how did these guys make it? Connections get you the position & generational players make you look brilliant. Lawrence Taylor, Phil Simms, Tim Duncan, David Robinson& Kwai Leonard are all hall of famers.
I don’t know if Pop is a communist but I do know that he’s a life lottery winner. And it’s obvious that the Spurs allow him to use their platform to pontificate about US politics — which I personally find distasteful & arrogant. I guess that’s Pop’s USAFA arrogance coming through again.
@Tim_Walz “Good company” — oh to be both stupid and tone deaf.
If you & Newsom aided & abetted - or ignored & in any promoted fraud against the taxpayers of your states, then you deserve some quality time in an 8x8 cell with a bunk mate named Bruce.
Why would you want to punish the entrepreneurial spirit & creativity that benefits everyone?
The left is so focused on committing fraud & stealing taxpayer $$$ to perpetuate their wrongheaded philosophy that they are a menace to humanity.
Anyway expect the expected. Maybe Dexter gets out of politics & becomes a Joe Montana impersonator.
@NewsNation This Iran war is like how Trump handles everything- he just can’t keep his mouth shut. Just like Covid where he’s got to be on TV everyday.
The only thing that is clear to me is that Iran will be problematic as long as the IRGC continues to run Iran.
The NBA is more a political artifice than it is a sports league. The SA organization — since the advent of Popovich — has been used as his platform to project his political meanderings. I’m not a big Knicks fan (unless they play the Spurs)but much respect to Brunson as he has sacrificed $$ to help build a contender.
