@OPLAUPDATES They’re probably going to drop images and posters for every arc/location—not episode—and lead up to a trailer maybe? MAYBE a release date? Please hear my prayers OPLA team 🙏😭
@ogblynz Isn’t he summoned through Lilia’s magic now? Through her love for him—which had also extended to Nana accidentally due to her own feelings for Akito, just without another teleport incident since he was already bound by fate to arrive in the six-faced world already.
@rigidballs1 I’ve always thought it’d be the other man described as Asian at the scene of Hitogami’s defeat. It was quite clear that someone else there - aside Shinohara - was Japanese too. The one who speaks to Lara. In his mid-to-late twenties from Rudeus’ pov.
@lolatterj@PerempuanStory@pewpiece It not only makes sense, but it actually means we’d get to see Luffy as the Pirate King — we’d see everyone’s reactions too during the final war. It’s a great setup to payoff Luffy’s journey.
@lolatterj@PerempuanStory@pewpiece Exactly! Blackbeard directly opposes Luffy. They contrast thematically with the idea of dreams. Luffy has to defeat him in a battle of ideals. Then he’ll become the Pirate King. And then it’s a thing of Freedom vs Control with Imu. King of the Pirates vs King of the World.
@SleeplessSights@msfujoshi23 —someone born outside of Japan and born in America? I might just be rambling at this point, but I feel the western mind, and media literacy, is so skewed right now. People cannot digest a story and discuss what they are trying to say without taking some moral high ground—
@msfujoshi23 Totally. It’s a great story and it should have its time to shine, but it comes with a lot of unwarranted backlash in the sense of people being unable to interpret what the story is trying to say i.e. the supposed “fan service.” Media literacy is at an all time low it seems.
