Answering the most asked question - Why does @CoinDCX delist tokens?

Like I've said several times before, simplifying crypto for our users is always #1 priority. But as a responsible exchange, there are some tough decisions we have to take.

As an exchange, we adhere to a very strict 7M due diligence process for Crypto-INR markets. If a token fails to meet our 7M requirements, we take the necessary step of delisting it from the crypto-INR market. Aim is to prioritize investor protection and maintain the highest standards!

CoinDCX also acts as a broker for Crypto-Crypto markets. For this, we follow a different approach. We rely on partner exchanges for listing and delisting. If a partner exchange delists a market, we have to follow suit and delist the token.

In everything we do, our goal is to ensure a secure and reliable trading experience for all our valued users.

I want to address the recent requests to list a certain memecoin PEPE that has been trending in the market. While we understand the excitement around this particular asset, we have made the decision not to list it on @CoinDCX

We take our responsibility as a trusted platform very seriously, and we believe that listing PEPE could potentially put our users' investments at risk.

PEPE the much talked about meme coin is up 11000% from the time it started trading less than a month ago, rising 92% in last 24 hours. Market Capitalisation of PEPE crossed $1 billion following listing announcement by some exchanges.

The major challenge with PEPE is the limited availability of on-chain liquidity on Uniswap. On chain wallet analysis points at a cluster of few wallets holding 2.7% the total supply. ($1 Bn* 2.7% = 27M) which can cause a major risk for the market as those wallets hold a token value superior to all the on-chain liquidity. This can lead to limited sell side liquidity once the token price stabilises

Moreover, we always adhere to certain compliance requirements and listing certain tokens may not align with those standards via our 7M framework. We strive to maintain a transparent and compliant platform to ensure the safety and security of our users.

We understand that some members of our community may be disappointed with this decision, but we believe it is the right one for the long-term health of our exchange and the crypto market as a whole. We will continue to monitor the market and list assets that we believe offer value to our users.
