An Indian traveller has alleged he faced racist treatment at a 7-Eleven in Shizuoka, Japan, after asking staff to reheat his food.

According to him, the store owner called the police but after reviewing the situation, Japanese police let him go with respect, apologised, and reprimanded the store owner.

He also thanked a Nepali staff member, who he says tried to stand by the truth despite facing pressure.
