Our young friends are writing their board exams these days. I have seen as parents and guardians we treat it as the turning point in life. Parents, teachers, almost everyone builds so much pressure around these exams from early on - अगले साल बोर्ड्स है... Serious हो जाओ... बोर्ड्स में अच्छा कर लो फिर लाइफ सेट है। हम अपनी expectations का भार बच्चों पे डाल देते हैं।

Of course, it is important to study... to learn. Good marks are a by-product. Learning सबसे ज़्यादा important है।

We need to tell our bright young generation that exam लाइफ का एक छोटा सा हिस्सा है, आपकी पूरी लाइफ नहीं है।

These exams are not the end of the world, but just the beginning of a new one with many many possibilities. My best wishes to all our young friends who are writing the boards this year, especially to all the bright girls who outshine boys year after year. My appeal to their parents to always stand by them and encourage them to realise their dreams.
