A little intro for the new ones here.
> I’m Siddhi, a third-year Computer Science student at NIT Kurukshetra.
> My journey so far has been a mix of academics, coding, trying random things, and slowly figuring out what I actually enjoy.
> School → 99.4% in 10th → 97.6% in 12th → decided to give JEE → 99.25 percentile → NIT Kurukshetra.
> College is where things started changing.
Started with DSA → got curious about development → started learning AI/ML → built projects → participated in hackathons.
> Along the way, I became an Amazon Future Engineer Scholar and a Desis Ascend Educare Scholar by D. E. Shaw after clearing their selection process.
> Then came one of my biggest milestones so far:
Secured an SDE internship at D. E. Shaw.
> I also participated in Smart India Hackathon and our team secured 1st place in the internal round.
> Tried open source too, including GSoC and other programs. Some worked out, some didn't, but every attempt taught me something.
> Now I'm in my third year, still learning DSA, AI/ML and software development, building things, participating in hackathons and trying to make the most of college.
Basically, this account is me documenting that journey.
DAY 8
spent the day getting a few things done:
→ studied distributed computing
→ dived deeper into attention in llms
→ planned out my major project
→ worked on a few social media posts
anyway, turned the day into a little timelapse with some good indian music in the background.
how did you spend yours?
DAY 6
Friday done, and got quite a bit done too.
> Learnt about token embeddings & positional embeddings
> Understood input-target pairs of text for LLMs
> Worked on my ML project
> Studied decision trees
let’s see how productive this weekend turns out to be :)
@ananyairl Very rare companies put that criteria of 9.5
I don't know in which year but in some later round microsoft shortlisted on basis of 9.5+ cg in our clg
DAY 7
Another productive day!!
> Studied simplified self-attention
> Revised recursion concepts
> Worked on my ML projects
> Planned some social media posts
> Studied decision trees
somehow managed to squeeze all of this into one day :)
Woke up at 8 AM today.
No alarm. No one calling me.
Just a dream where I suddenly realised:
Only 7 days left for midsems.
My brain really said, “You’re sleeping too peacefully. Let’s fix that.” 🫠🥹
