I have been pursuing this Political and Business Bucanneer for the past 15 years over a case of open and shut fraud

As telecom minister Maran, the bucanneer, installing a 1000 line secret Telephone exchange case in his home in the name of the Regional Manager of BSNL unknown to the system was a famous expose by me in the New Indian Express in 2010

He was using it for uplinking Sun TV progs and benefitting hundreds of crores. The secret phones were also national security breach as they could make any call to anyone without being monitored. At that time the DMK was in love relation with the biggest national security risk the LTTE

But the buccaneer with his money political power and media power delayed a case which could he completed in months by a decade

This is the 7th time the buccaneer telecom minister went to the supreme court to quash and/or delay the CBI probe into the fraud exposed in 2010

The case was investigated in 2007 by an honest inspector of CBI who used to go by scooter from Beasant Nagar to Shastry Bhavan in Chennai. He risked his life and asked for permission to file FIR.

But the UPA govt of which the DMK was a constituent prevented the CBI from registering FIR

I had to file a writ in Supreme court in 2014 to direct the CBI to file FIR

The buccaneer went to the High coourt and then to Supreme Court and almost got the case quashed with the then Attorney General almost colluding with them

The AG who had given opinion to govt that the secret phones were in breach of national security conceded in the court contrary to it

I had to write a scathing article to expose the Attorney

During the hearing then CJI even said it is after all 1.72 cr cable laying expenses and that can be paid by Marans and the case closed.

Then I wrote an article saying that it is not a case of cable laying expenses but secret telephone exchange of over 1000 lines installed at the ministers home and used for uplinking Sun TV progs (for which a secret cable laid at a cost of 1..72 cr) the benefit in which would be hundreds of crores

I also reminder the Supreme court that just months before the court had confirmed sentence on a clerk for accepting a bribe of Rs 265 declaring that corruption should not be tolerated

I wrote that if a clerk has to go jail for a bibe of rs 265 the higher the stature of the corrupt greater should be the punishment

That attempt to quash the case failed and the charges were framed.

Then a pliable trial court first discharged them.

I scathingly attacked the trial court order as perverse

The Madras High court set aside the perverse order and the buccaneer minister went to the supreme court.

The supreme court asked them to face the trial

They delayed the trial by several years and now the trial is over and all witnesses had been examined.

Then the buccaneer began another round of litigation to delay the trial by getting Madras HC to order that the present telecom secy be summoned as court witness .. an absolutely untenable order

The CBI came in appeal to the SC against that order and shockingly the AG who appeared for the CBI earlier appeared for the buccaneer!

Then in a detailed article the OpIndia recounted the whole case from the start and the role of the then AG and now Maran counsel

After the OpIndia article the then AG didn't appear in the case

The SC finally told Maran that the telecom secy may be called not as court witness but as defence witness.

What is the difference

If he is a defence witness his statements will be admissible against the accused

Not if he is a court witness

They will now.probably not call the telecom secy as defence witness

Hopefully the trial will conclude soon and justice will be done

....20 years after the fraud was discovered by CBI but blocked by UPA

....16 years after it was exposed by me in the New Indian Express

ज़रा उन कटऑफ्स को देखिए—किसी आरक्षित वर्ग के छात्र को 10,000 के आसपास की रैंक पर भी सीट मिल सकती है, जबकि कहीं अधिक प्रतिभाशाली और मेहनती छात्र को वर्षों का नुकसान उठाना पड़ सकता है। यह व्यवस्था कितनी उचित है, इस पर गंभीरता से विचार होना चाहिए।

अगर भारत को विकसित राष्ट्र बनना है, तो योग्यता और उत्कृष्टता को अधिक प्राथमिकता देनी होगी। हम प्रतिभाशाली छात्रों के वर्षों को बर्बाद नहीं कर सकते।
योग्यता की जीत होनी चाहिए।

लाखों दर्शकों से कहता हूँ, जाकर कोई फैक्ट-चेक करे। 1896 के कोलकाता कांग्रेस अधिवेशन में पहली बार वंदे मातरम् गाया गया, जिसकी अध्यक्षता मुस्लिम नेता रहमतुल्लाह अहमद सयानी ने की।
वहाँ से लेकर 1923 तक कभी कोई आपत्ति नहीं हुई। 1923 के अधिवेशन में तो उस समय मोहम्मद अली जौहर ने उसकी अध्यक्षता की थी उन्होंने आपत्ति की फिर भी पूरा गाया। झूठ बोलते हैं ये लोग।

मैं पूछना चाहता हूँ, 1896 से 1937 तक हर बार कांग्रेस पूरा गा रही थी, तो 1937 में क्या हुआ जो काट दिया?

मुस्लिम लीग और जिन्ना ने कहा कि आपको यह वंदे मातरम् काटना पड़ेगा, आप एक के बाद एक सरेंडर कर रहे थे। 1905 में बंग-भंग के बाद उस समय सारे हिंदू-मुसलमान एक होकर वंदे मातरम् गाते थे, मगर ये कट्टरपंथियों के आगे झुक गए।

1916 के लखनऊ कांग्रेस अधिवेशन में मुसलमानों के लिए पृथक निर्वाचन क्षेत्र माँग लिया। फिर उनकी हिम्मत और बढ़ी।
फिर 1920 में इन्होंने कहा,
टर्की का खलीफा हट गया है, तो अब हम टर्की के खलीफा के लिए आंदोलन करेंगे और महात्मा गांधी ने अली का समर्थन किया।
उनकी हिम्मत और बढ़ गई। उसके बाद जिन्ना ने कहा, मैं महात्मा गांधी को महात्मा नहीं बोलूँगा। इसलिए हर फिल्म में मिस्टर गांधी बोलता है।

फिर उसने कहा, मैं वंदे मातरम् नहीं गाऊँगा और मैं इनको बताना चाहता हूँ, कोई दर्शक जाकर चेक करे।

6 अप्रैल 1938 को नेहरू को जिन्ना ने एक लेटर लिखा और Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru, Series One, Volume 22, Page Number 230 से 239 में लिखा है। क्या शर्मनाक लेटर लिखा है। लिखते हैं, हमने वंदे मातरम् हटा दिया है। पॉइंट नंबर नौ पर। फिर उसके बाद लिखते हैं, पॉइंट नंबर 12 पर, अगर आपको तिरंगे से आपत्ति है, तो हम मुस्लिम लीग के भी झंडे को बराबर सम्मान देने को तैयार हैं। और पॉइंट नंबर सात पर लिखते हैं, मुसलमानों को सरेआम गोहत्या करने का अधिकार होगा। क्या गजब का सरेंडर किया नेहरू ने।

India is governed by its Constitution, not the Manusmriti. The Constitution of India was framed by the Constituent Assembly under the chairmanship of Babasaheb Dr B. R. Ambedkar and is the supreme law of our Republic.

Yet Rahul Gandhi repeatedly misquotes and selectively invokes the Manusmriti to peddle an anti-Hindu narrative.

What makes this even more ironic is that he seems not to know what Mahatma Gandhi and his own great-grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru actually said about Manu and the Manusmriti.

On 4 May 1928, Gandhi wrote to P. T. Pillay:

“I do not regard Manusmriti as an evil. It contains much that is admirable, but in its present form it undoubtedly contains many things that are bad and these appear to be interpolations. Whilst a reformer would therefore treasure all excellent things in that ancient code, he would expurgate all that is injurious or of doubtful value.”

Then, on 1 May 1955, Nehru said at a public meeting in New Delhi:

“There is no doubt about it that Manu and Yagnavalkya were great souls and we must read what they have written with respect and think about it.”

He immediately added that the India of their time was entirely different and that he could not accept the social organisation of two thousand years ago as necessarily appropriate for the present.

And four days later, during the Lok Sabha debate on the Hindu Marriage Bill, Nehru said:

“He quoted, he referred to Manu and Yagnyavalkya, very great men in our history, who have shaped India’s destiny. We admire them. They are among the heroes of our history.”

Nehru then made his position clear: Manu and Yagnyavalkya could not simply be invoked as “a witness as to what should be done in the present conditions of India,” because society had changed dramatically.

The lesson is simple.

Respecting civilisational inheritance does not mean treating every ancient prescription as immutable law. Hindu civilisation has survived precisely because it has the intellectual and spiritual capacity to debate, reform and evolve from within.

The least Rahul Gandhi can do is read and learn from what even his own family members have said, rather than remain a prisoner of the Dimaagi Naxals who seem determined to feed him a caricature of Hinduism.

Hinduism has reformed from within for millennia and it will continue to do so.

But selective quotation and deliberate misrepresentation are not reform. They are propaganda.
