@CaseyBHead At least personally, pretty much every political ideal I hold would also benefit rural areas. Funding for public education, health care, transportation, housing, food. Capitalism is how you get people left behind, when you only care about profit, you don't care about everyone.
@CaseyBHead As for the politics, there's a lot more conversations that can be had, at least on the left side of the spectrum, there's no intent to take from rural areas in order to give to urban ones, but it might seem that way when you distribute resources based on population density.
Hey @UPS how come you decided to hand off my package, that was going to Canada, to USPS, while Canada Post is fucking ON STRIKE. Why didn't you just DELIVER IT YOURSELF LIKE YOU WERE PAYED TO DO
@UPS For anyone else who comes across this thread and thinks that it got resolved because UPS hounded me to DM them, they just want me to tell the company I bought stuff from (which is now out of stock) to send it again, paying UPS a second time.
@CelebrantHunt@UPS But you understand how stupid that feels as a consumer right? Why am I paying a company to drive my package to their cheaper competitor that I didn't choose? (clearly I didn't get any sort of choice in this situation)
Why does my brain refuse to function whenever I'm unemployed?? I have the most free time I've had in 6 years and I keep wasting my days in a pool of executive disfunction and tiktok.
@30kfanatic You can see spots on the armour, like the forearm and hips, that have detail that are very specific to the minis, where the older art, he's completely obscured the hips to avoid bothering to figure it out realistically, and added tons of tiny detail that makes it feel real.
@30kfanatic I think an aspect is an adherence to the model, over detailing it like a real suit of armour. Whether that was a decision from the artist or a push from GW, who knows. Outside of the artists style, use of texture, and lack of resolution, I feel like that's what you're seeing.
There was a tweet about how Pixar is abandoning original, director driven stories like Turning Red and Luca in favour of sequels cause they make cash, but the page refreshed as I found this to look at numbers.
But also, a Pixar feature budget hasn't gone above $200m since 2010
