But what if I can use an agent to update the harness itself? Yeah, it can reenforce wrong behavior, but then I can use another agent... what do you mean?! It's agents all the way down!
Watched the finale, I think #TheAmazingDigitalCircus could have been great if not for the stupid ending. It made little sense and it was incongruent with the rest of the series. "Oh, we need to finish this in two episodes! Bam!". I thought the whole point was to not do that.
#TheAmazingDigitalCircus is pretty great! Imagine a cross between #InfinityTrain and #TheCube and you get this weirdly unsettling yet endearing animation series. If you feel the animation is wrong, keep watching, it correlates with the story.
@NVIDIAGeForce Behold the GeForce RTX 5090, transcendent opus of computational elegance, a canvas of luminous transistors and ray-traced divinity comprehensible solely to the erudite connoisseurs of silicon symphonies!
I thus deign to engage in this rarefied aesthetic discourse: #RTXPowersPlay
Ursula K. Le Guin believed the great instrument of science fiction is “distancing” - “the pulling back from ‘reality’ in order to see it better”, revealing “reality translated to a higher plane”. 1. Translated reality 2. Higher plane. Not hard, studios!
#WidowsBay didn't go the direction I thought. It became more of a horror anthology with some comedy elements. I can't say it works for me, but it keeps me intrigued for now.
#AvatarTheLastAirBender was a wonderful series, with heart, good story, nice characters and made with love. The 2026 movie reeks of IP, even if decent. The animation is average, the story derivative, the cast diverse but decision makers not. Just another villain of the week plot.
OK, #TheOwlHouse was great. S1 was best and Disney's interference was pretty heavy by the end, but still a good wholesome show that made me feel hopeful for a bit. I recommend it!
@OwlHouse is a children's animation made by Glitch for Disney. It's silly, lighthearted and derivative, but also really fun and enjoyable! If you have children, it's a must, and it's also fun for adults.
#ApocalypseHotel is what I call an "alignment story". Robots left by their own function based on the rules and goals that were instilled into them. Slightly entertaining, but ultimately pointless. Funny, just started to read Service Robot, by Adrian Tchaikovsky, at the same time.
@straceX The problem is that this is C++. 🤣Unless you declare counter as atomic or use the mutex on read, you're going to get compiler optimizations that break this, stale values or even torn values in 32bit envs.
#SpiderManNoir is "what if Spider-Man was happening in the 1920s". Gangsters, singing femme fatales, PIs, black and white and Nick Cage. Thing is, Cage is old and seemingly tame? Can't change the first, but PUH-lease free the man and let him add spark to this series!
#ForAllMankind S5 was a rollercoaster. The good parts were good, the bad parts were really bad and the science was atrocious. Worst of all were the charismatic but totally inconsistent characters getting away with anything because they are VIP. High school in spaaace!
#ForAllMankind S4 was a bummer. Even in an impossibly liberal optimistic future, people still screw everything up and monkeys be monkeys. I know this is a TV drama and not The Expanse, but still, it felt like Dynasty in space.
#ForAllMankind S3 reached the height of nepotism, political blackmail and corporate orgiastic restructuring. Weirdly in sync with current times, it also feels anachronistic at the same time. Can't wait for when Ed's Martian grandson goes to work for NASA.
