One morning, as I walked my boys to the bus like we always do, I said, "I want to show you how you can change someone's day without saying a word."

They looked at me, confused.

Every day, a city bus would pass us at the exact same time, like clockwork. As the bus approached, I lifted my hand and waved.

The driver looked over, caught off guard, but gave a subtle nod.

The next day, I waved again. Same nod. I kept it up. Day after day. Week after week. Then, something shifted.

The driver started waving first. Then came the honks. Then the grin, huge and warm, like we'd known each other for years.

Then one morning, the seat was filled by someone new.

Our usual driver stood beside him, as if he were training him, but still waved. He even leaned in to tell the new guy to honk. The next day, he was gone.

But the new driver? Waved. Honked. Smiled. 😉

I looked at my boys and said, "That's the power of kindness. It spreads, it lasts, and sometimes it speaks louder than words ever could."
