Rahul Gandhi just described Manusmriti as anti women scripture but does he know more than AMBEDKAR?

Yes, Ambedkar burnt MANUSMRITI in his initial days. WHAT AMBEDKAR SAID in the later half of his life about the scripture?

Ambedkar’s Speech to the Constituent Assembly (24th Feb 1949): “Among the 137 Smritis, Yajnavalkya & Manu are of a higher standard. Manu states daughters have a right to 1/4th of inheritance.” (Manusmriti Chapter 9, Shloka 117) “All brothers must give 1/4th of their share to sisters. Those who don’t are fallen.”

स्वेभ्योंशेभ्यस्तु कन्याभ्य: प्रदद्युर्भ्रातर: पृथक। स्वात्स्वादंशाच्चतुःभागं पतिता: स्युरदित्सव:॥

Ambedkar lamented how custom overruled law. He believed if the Privy Council hadn’t prioritised custom, Manusmriti’s provisions for women’s inheritance rights would’ve empowered daughters long ago. (Writings & Speeches, Vol 14, p255)

Siddharth College Speech (11th Jan 1950): “I used Manusmriti for caste determination, Parashara Smriti for divorce, Brihaspati Smriti for women’s rights, and Manusmriti for inheritance rights.” (Collected Speeches, Vol. 8, pp. 17-18)

Parliament Speech (6th Feb 1951): “Sociologically, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs are Hindus.”

Rajaram Theater Speech (25th Dec 1952): “My bill’s critics claim it abandons Hindu scriptures. I challenge them to find a clause unsupported by Manusmriti. Women’s property should go to daughters after death, just as brothers inherit the father’s.” (Source: Janata, 3rd Jan 1953).

Manusriti : Yatra Naari Pujyante Vasante Tatra Devta ("Where women are honored, the deities (divinity) are pleased and reside there; but where they are not honored, all noble actions yield no reward.")

But this is Anti Women.

Lets look at Bible and Quran for that matter.
BIBLE:
1. Timothy 2:11–12: "Let a woman learn in silence with full submission. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she is to keep silent.

2. Corinthians 14:34–35: "Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says."

3 Ephesians 5:22: "Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord," a sentiment echoed in Colossians 3:18.

4 Corinthians 11:8–9 “Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.”

5 Genesis 3:16: As part of the consequence after eating the forbidden fruit, God tells the woman, "Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you."

6. Leviticus 15:19–30: Details ritual uncleanness associated with natural biological functions like menstruation, treating the state as contaminating to surrounding objects and people.

QURAN
1. Men are caretaker of women. Men have been provisioned by Allah over women. A righteous woman would be one who is devoutly obedient and, when alone, protective of what Allah has entrusted them with. And if you sense ill-conduct from your women, advise them ˹first˺, if they persist, do not share their beds, but if they still persist, then discipline them.

what that means: Men are superior, women need to take orders from them and if they don't then men has the right to decipline women.

2. Surah Al-Baqarah verse 223: Your wives are like farmland for you. Approach them as you please.

Meaning : Your wives are you farmland and you can do whatever you feel like doing with her. This is happening in a society where we talk about Marital rape,

3. Surah Al Nisa verse 24: All married women (muhsanat) are forbidden to you except those women whom your right hands have come to possess (as a result of war).

Meaning: Win girls from war and use them as you please.

4. Surah Al-Baqarah verse 282: And call to witness, from among your men, two witnesses. And if two men be not (at hand) then a man and two women, of such as ye approve as witnesses, so that if the one erreth (through forgetfulness) the other will remember.

Meaning : Weightage of a Man's testimony is twice than the weightage of a woman.

How many Christians read and believe in Bible? 100%
How many Muslims read or Believe in Quran? 100%
How many Hindus read or believe in Manusmriti? 1%

But what is problematic? MANUSMRITI ofcourse.

One thing which stumps some modern Hindus is the question of prolonged ageing of sadhus of ancient times.
This they find very difficult to believe so I am giving an example here with proof.
Totapuri … the Guru of Ramakrishna Paramhans was rumoured to be 250+ years of age.
Let’s see if we can prove that he was at least 150 years of age … because that upturns the laws of physics and biology as we know them.
So … we know that when Ramakrishna was met by Totapuri … he was x numbers of age. He looks at least 60 or 70 years of age at that point from his photos and the literature and evidence tells us that he met Ramakrishna in 1864.
Now we know this because and only because, Ramakrishna went on to become a famous man owing primarily to his disciple Vivekananda who became famous internationally.
It is because these two became famous that we know of the yogi Totapuri.

And we know that Totapuri died in 1961…. outliving both Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna.
This is a gap of 95 years after he met Ramakrishna.
Thus age of Totapuri is 95 + x and if we conservatively say that he was 60 years of age at the time he met Ramakrishna in 1864, that would conservatively make him around 155 years of age.
So this above is pretty straightforward.
It is almost indisputable at this stage.

If we accept the claim that he was over a 100 years of age when he met Ramakrishna in 1864, then he lived around 200 years.
If we accept the claim according to
“Ramakrishna
Sadhan Parikrama” by Manoranjan Basu, TotaPuri is said to have died at Puri at the age of 262.
This latter age of 262 years is a claim which may be difficult to prove but …. may be true or not.
