It's interesting that the same Silicon Valley that looked down upon the software/IT services model as an inferior cousin to software products, has totally embraced AI+Services as the next big wave. Must commend their adaptability, while recognising what an opportunity 🇳 has.
Sometimes we imagine AGI as a “Terminator” style takeover, but maybe it’s more like the “economy” - an artificial system we shape and coexist with. Sure, it impacts our lives in not-always-perfect ways, but net-net it’s doing much more good than harm🤖✨
@paraschopra Had this Design subject (Des 1,2,3,4… across semesters). Used to pour in way more effort than peers, often at cost of other grades.
Eventually stopped checking final grades to avoid rationing/reducing effort. 10 yrs later, that obsession still pays off. Rewired how I think! 😇
@gunsnrosesgirl3 Seeing the world through the lens of “Compounding” changes everything… not just wealth, but habits, health, relationships, knowledge, narratives. Almost everything that matters starts small and grows slow, then fast and then it takes a completely diff shape of it’s own.
@seekerTwt @paraschopra I think you need diff types of people. Some who are laser-focused on winning & achieving goals, and others who are curious explorers & tinkerers. They are the ones who build new pathways, unlock new paradigms, where new goals can be imagined… that needs the other kind of wiring.
@thekaipullai IMHO if we assume that the pie will remain constant then this analysis holds true.
But this tech paradigm (GenAI) will lead to the pie expanding (a new class of softwares & tech will get created) and tech services using Claude/GenAI will drive it. Nature of demand will augment.
@carlvellotti The examples are a bit confusing.
What we do in my team…
KPIs are a set of metrics, to measure/track diff aspects of a business/product.
OKRs are strategic goals, which are often (not always) measured using one or more KPIs. Not all KPIs have a corresponding strategic goal.
@protosphinx Have a 4 mo old baby. The best part by far of my life. ♥️
Honestly speaking, didn’t realise till I held her in my arms the first time. Something changes in you post that. It’s def a higher level of happiness than what you get from most other things (career, success, creativity).
@SadaaShree With this gradient - min set to -20 and the green ending before 0 and red starting before 20… India in summer would have looked similar (mostly red) even a century back and will continue to look like this even after climate change is reversed.
@KiranKS My opinion: You are comparing the avg IT professional at your office to the elite people of politics.
The politicians you see in the news are the top politicians, very unlikely you know the avg politician. The not so healthy ones, never made it far enough for you to know them.
@paraschopra In Indian philosophy, one popular creation theory is - God (in the non-dual state) got bored, and wanted to play. So he/she created a game. It was so good & immersive that he/she forgot it’s a game. And that is how Sansara (world) happened, and still going strong 😅
@AbhiSeeker@Anand_Venkatram So whatever you practice as Karma Yoga… a significant part of it has to be in the material plane - a mix of politics, social justice, economic prosperity etc?
Karma Yoga may not only be about material development, but can it be completely decoupled from the material plane?
