Once, the temple festivals of #Keralam have dramas & such programs, filled with left- extremist ideology; (many temples here controlled by communists). now the 'bhajan teams' captured that space. #Bhakti overpowering the youngsters....

With the advent of tv channels, in the last few decades, the number of people attending cultural programs in temples gone down ..... Now these young bhajan groups brings back tens of thousands to temple premises, auditoriums.
This shouldn't be considered just as a new attraction or a temperory phenomenon; a change in the mood & attitude of women & young in Keralam. They throws away the left - pseudo secular - jihadi elements and are ready to follow the 'Hindutwa'; the 'bhakthi', that too publicly...

Again, I must recall the discussion that i had with few left- pseudo secular journos... they admits that this massive change in the mindset of Keralites, the big success of bhakthi programs, will have serious political repurcussions too in the so called 'secular Keralam' in the days to come.
