🇺🇦🇷🇺 RUSSIA’S “VICTORIES” ON PAPER ARE STARTING TO BREAK ITS OWN ARMY

Moscow can color a town Russian on a map. The problem begins when Ukrainian troops, functioning utilities, pharmacies and grocery stores are still there.

Days after Russia publicly presented another city as effectively taken, a Ukrainian general appeared in the supposedly occupied area without even wearing a helmet, openly mocking the Kremlin’s version of events.

The reaction from Russian pro-war channels was brutal. Mikhail Zvinchuk captured the operational absurdity:

“A strike cannot be called in on a village fictitiously taken by a neural network.”

That is the real danger of falsified battlefield reporting. If headquarters records territory as captured when Russian troops do not actually control it, artillery support, reinforcement, casualty evacuation and operational planning can all be built around a fictional front line.

Frontline Russian channels have directed particular anger at Colonel General Sergei Kuzovlev, who reported Kupyansk captured last November and received the Hero of Russia star. Troops are now reportedly asking why soldiers are still fighting for a city their commanders already declared won.

The same pattern appeared around Vovchansk, where Putin spoke of a “cauldron” containing 2,000 Ukrainian troops. Yet accounts from inside the supposed pocket described functioning shops, mobile service and Ukrainian forces that had apparently not been trapped at all.

The consequences go beyond embarrassment. A 19-year-old Russian Spetsnaz serviceman reportedly described troops being dispatched toward coordinates based on unreliable reports and disappearing. One unit allegedly became so distrustful that personnel were assigned simply to observe whether Russian infantry were actually where commanders claimed.

Even Russian equipment procurement enters the picture: one contractor reportedly sourced helmets from China, ran out of money for body armor and used migrant workers to assemble inadequate protective gear.

Meanwhile, Russian frontline sources acknowledge that Ukraine’s reported 100,000-hryvnia payment for taking a Russian soldier alive creates a strange battlefield incentive. As one Russian channel put it: “When the enemy sees in you a pile of money, it protects you better than any body armor.”

Ukraine, by contrast, is described as increasingly automating dangerous logistics, with ground robots having carried out 25,000 missions.

And the distortion may extend beyond the battlefield. The thread claims Jared Kushner spent three hours meeting Putin’s aide and that a proposed peace map subsequently incorporated Russian General Staff territorial claims — the same claims Russian soldiers themselves are increasingly disputing.

That is the deeper problem for Moscow: falsifying battlefield success may please the political leadership, but eventually the fictional map has to confront real Ukrainian positions.

You can deceive a briefing room. Artillery, logistics and the soldiers on the ground still have to operate in the real world.

Canada was the first Western country to recognise the restoration of Ukraine’s independence on December 2, 1991.

You can call this bribery or socialism or just another lie, but remember it’s the Republican Party that endorses this garbage. Trump is deeply unpopular, but has promised he’ll rig the midterm elections for them, so they still won’t stand up to him.
