I saw a man jogging in the centre of town with a labrador at 1.30pm on the hottest day of the year, 32-35 degrees, dragging this dog behind him as this dog tried desperately to slow down.
Don't be that guy.
A few days without going out won't kill them, heatstroke will.
I have been busy on TV & Radio telling people not to do this, but some people never listen
Currently 37 degrees and walking a husky in this weather
Record June heat. 1,000+ school closures. Flash floods damaging homes. At 4pm MPs vote on the Carbon Budget.
The timing isn't ironic - it's the whole argument. #CarbonBudget7

I think it’s kinda sad people making fun of the Labour bob when it’s kinda obvious that women MPs cut their hair shorter + dress more masculine to be taken seriously and all the jokes surrounding it feel misogynistic
"On average, England’s monitored species have declined markedly since 1970. Average abundance of species in the all-species indicator has fallen by around 40%, & the corresponding priority species indicator has fallen by around 80%." https://t.co/oc5ilEOMSp

Poll: Brits of 'all political stripes' are nature-lovers ..#nature is the biggest source of pride, behind our NHS…a whopping 85% say you’re NOT doing enough to protect it.

When it comes to restoring nature, not only is it a top priority for a quarter of voters, but Labour voters are more likely than average to say it’s a top priority - with over a third saying it is a top priority.
Our new research for @nationaltrust finds that after the NHS it’s Britain’s countryside and nature and historic buildings and architecture that are their biggest sources of pride in the UK.
Water companies are ruining our seaside, prison is the only deterrent.
Last yr illegally dumped raw sewage on more than 15,000 occasions.
Execs rewarded, dividends paid, customers fleeced. No one held to account.
Criminal activity exceeds that of mafia.

"Water firms acting like ‘criminal gangs’ dumping 10,000 hours’ worth of sewage each month on dry days."
If it was another sector, or any other group of people they would all be in jail right now. What not the water industry?

The govt is cutting one of the few really popular parts of the UK Aid budget- nature protection. In every poll and survey, protecting rainforests, oceans and wildlife is always a popular use of the UK aid. It’s also the most important part of Aid, given that we are losing the great ecosystems we all completely rely on: the Amazon, Congo basin, coral reefs and mangroves.
Instead the focus is shifting almost entirely to one dimensional carbon counting.
We have gone from leader on protecting nature internationally to dodo. We’ve even changed the name of the unit from Climate and nature to just climate.
I wonder if our sleepy ministers are even aware.
Every call this govt makes is wrong. It’s extraordinary
Our latest voting intention (1-2 March 2026) has the Greens on their highest figure ever recorded by YouGov, significantly ahead of Labour, who are on their lowest figure to date

What not many people realise about UK student loans is that earners in the middle of the salary range end up paying back far more than either lower or higher earners, as they earn enough to pay the loan and interest back before the 30 year cut off, but not enough to pay it off early before the interest balloons.
Someone earning £70k ends up paying almost double someone on £150k.
