This year’s Business of Books event, under the theme “Homegrown Digital Publishing for African Authors,” was a worthwhile investment.

I had the chance to learn from a diverse lineup of speakers and panelists. It was an opportunity to have intellectual intercourse with some of the creative minds fueling Zimbabwe’s literary scene.

I could not resist a photo moment with Sympathy Sibanda(@siesibs), a publishing consultant, entrepreneur, and TV host, along with Yvonne Manyanja, an author and life coach, and Shalom Govero(@Shalom_MSA), an author, trainer and finance expert. Shalom and myself, we are both Empretecos, Mandela Washington Fellows, and Global Shapers. And, of course, Fungayi Sox(@AntonySox), an editor, storyteller, and publishing consultant whose work is impacting thousands of readers.
Together, we are not just envisioning Zimbabwes publishing future. We are actively building it. To everyone advancing this field. Let’s keep creating, inspiring, and supporting one another. Zimbawe’s stories deserve to be heard.
