Am Wochenende gab es in Deutschland kurdische Großdemos zu #Rojava mit teils 100.000 Teilnehmern (z.B. in Köln). Alle verliefen vorbildlich, friedlich und geordnet.
Tage zuvor hatten arabische Islamisten immer wieder versucht Gewalt zu erzeugen und kurdische Demos angegriffen. Daraus entstanden Bilder, die die Medien und z.B. @M_Ostermann leider - verständlicherweise - falsch eingeordnet haben. Dies war von arabisch-islamistischer Seite offensichtlich geplant, um die #Kurden in der Öffentlichkeit abzuwerten.

Die Demos in Köln, Berlin, Stuttgart, Bremen, etc. haben aber eindrucksvoll gezeigt, dass kurdische Demos unproblematisch sind. Das bestätigt mir auch die Polizei, die vor kurdischen Demos meist tiefenentspannt sind.

Anders sieht es bei #Palästina-Demos (Pro-#Hamas) aus. Diese sind ausnahmslos fast immer mit Gewalt und Straftaten verbunden. Je größer die Demo, desto brutaler und gewalttätiger - vor allem gegen Einsatzkräfte.

Es wäre gut, wenn Politik und Medien diese Tatsache anerkennt und dementsprechend handeln.

US Syria envoy Tom Barrack’s offer shocked the Kurdish leaders and military commander in a meeting in Erbil, the capital city of Iraqi Kurdistan.

On 17 January 2026, Tom Barrack arrived in Erbil to have a meeting with Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani and SDF top commander Mazloum Abdi, along with other Kurdish officials, regarding the so-called Syrian regime’s nonstop attacks on Kurdish areas in Syria.

Everybody in the meeting was waiting for the American diplomat to offer a ceasefire deal that would make everyone happy and end the conflict, but Tom Barrack said that Syrian bombardment and attacks would stop only under one condition:
if they accepted to join the Syrian army and attack the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq, according to an American source in Syria.
Firstly, Masoud Barzani was stunned after hearing this offer, as you can see in the following photo and video. SDF commander Mazloum Abdi was very, very shocked and angry, and was trying hard to control his anger with his hands, as you can see in the video. He was followed by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, who in the video appeared very upset and dazed.

Finally, the SDF commander replied, “I’m sorry, I cannot accept this kind of offer because I’m not a mercenary; I’m a freedom fighter. My forces are working for humanity. We fought the Islamic State terrorist organisation to bring peace. I cannot go join these terrorists and fight in Iraq.”
Tom Barrack responded, “Ok, that’s fine, then accept bombardments,” and the meeting ended.

At that time, just 30 minutes later, Turkish drones attacked the Kurds, alongside 10,000 terrorists in Deir ez-Zor, and they took over oil fields in Deir ez-Zor, as well as an ISIS detainee prison and released ISIS members.
That day and the day after were the deadliest days for Kurds in Syria, and many other Kurdish fighters were beheaded. It became clear that Tom Barrack, Erdogan, and Jolani were in close contact regarding the bombing of Kurds.

Finally, Tom Barrack yesterday announced that the role of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) as the “primary anti-ISIS force on the ground” has “largely expired.”

The plan of attacking jihadists from Syria to Sunni areas in Iraq, and then into Iran, is engineered by Erdogan and Hakan Fidan, and whispered to Washington by Tom Barrack.

The number of forces that directly get orders from Turkey has now reached 104,000, and their number is increasing rapidly as Turkish intelligence keeps transporting terrorists into Syria. Now is the time to ask American journalists, human rights organisations, and television networks to ask Tom Barrack what kind of humanity he believes in, where he deals with Erdogan and Jolani, puts the heads of Kurdish fighters under terrorist knives, and asks the Kurds to become mercenary fighters in Iraq—or face death and bombardment from Turkey and Islamic State and Jolani terrorist attacks.
