Your brain produces somewhere around 60,000 to 80,000 thoughts a day. According to a figure widely cited from the National Science Foundation, up to 80 percent of them are negative, and up to 95 percent are the same ones you had yesterday.

That means the voice in your head is running on a loop, and the loop is biased toward threat, because the brain evolved to keep you alive, not to keep you happy. A thought like "I am not ready for this" fires the amygdala, your brain's alarm centre, which floods you with cortisol, the stress hormone. Cortisol makes you more reactive and more likely to have the same thought again, and the repetition digs the groove deeper each time.

This is why affirmations work as counter-programming. When you repeat a sentence like "I can handle this," you are building a competing pathway. The first few times it feels empty, because the old groove is deeper. But the brain rewires itself based on what it practises, and a 2015 study from the University of Pennsylvania found that a repeated values affirmation activates the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain that handles reasoning, and quiets the amygdala over time.

The research suggests that the mechanism works the same way whether you write the affirmation, say it out loud, or read it from a card. What matters is repetition and personal relevance, choosing words that connect to something you care about. Maggie wrote two words above it:

“Not wrong.”

That is all she did!

CAIR - a foreign-designated terrorist group - came after her for it. They ran a major pressure campaign - they demanded this mom of three and school board member delete the post, apologize, or resign.

We were not there.

They packed her school-board meeting. CAIR Maryland jihadi director Zainab Chaudry told the room Maggie’s statement was “not an apology” and demanded more from her....

This is the same Chaudry who, after Hamas’s October 7 massacre, posted that murdered Israeli babies were “fake” and compared Israel to the Nazis.

Maryland put her on a hate-crime commission, suspended her, put her back, then took CAIR’s seat away.

That is who and what they sent to scold a school-board mother over a cartoon.

Then they made Maggie visit a mosque for “re-education.”

Then local media (who sided with CAIR) filmed her apologizing and called it their big story.

We left her alone.

Not anymore.

That same capital could have built up to 27,500 nuclear power stations worldwide, permanently securing the future of energy - although the scale of such a venture is unlikely due to pure economic reality.

Observable data across geological history shows that today's temperatures are well within long-term natural variability. The natural world engineered complex multicellular life and DNA without us. Deep ocean currents provide the thermal inertia that keeps the Northern Hemisphere warm and livable. These systems require no human management; Earth will run its course regardless of our intervention.

We are still living in the Late Cenozoic Ice Age, which began 33.9 million years ago when permanent ice sheets formed on Antarctica. It is one of only five major ice ages in Earth’s history—alongside the Huronian, Cryogenian, Andean-Saharan, and Karoo.

Today’s global average temperature sits around 15°C—deep within a major cold regime, and up to 10 degrees cooler than Earth's long-term baseline range of 18–26°C.

The true human story is defined by our dogged resilience in a formidable world, not by attempts to dial planetary climate up or down across a few decades. Mankind has flourished throughout the warm Holocene interglacial period over the past 11,700 years. This brief window encompasses the full rise of modern civilization—every empire, every breakthrough, and everything that defines our existence, from razor blades to space exploration.

The Industrial Revolution launched our modern prosperity around 1750, powered by the density of coal, oil and gas. Over those 250 years, global temperatures have edged up marginally—by 1.1 to 1.4°C—while CO₂ has risen gradually from 290 ppm to 426 ppm (roughly 1 to 3 ppm per year).

Far from triggering a global disaster, NASA satellite observations reveal that this added carbon dioxide has spurred a massive expansion in global leaf area—a planetary greening visible from space—while agricultural output and crop yields have exploded.

A slightly warmer, CO₂-enriched world is demonstrably greener, more productive, and fundamentally more livable.

All the enormous physical superstructure of turbines and solar panels ever built will have to be rebuilt or repurposed in endless 25 to 35 year cycles.

This could leave millions of tonnes of discarded, unrecyclable, unrecognisable components in landfill sites or abandoned where they stand. Such a ceaseless replacement cycle is a far bigger resource challenge than initial capital expenditure.

The scale of this recurring loop will continue until the rate of extraction and mineral density (such as copper grades declining, processing energy required) makes raw materials too costly to mine or simply inaccessible. Subsidies will inevitably dry up.

There are around 1.3-1.5 million turbines and 8-9 billion solar panels. Few will meet their alloted operational timespans; and all will face decommissioning and replacement. Older turbines already face structural failure at 17 years, due to gearbox wear, leading-edge blade erosion, or bearing fatigue under turbulent loads.

Having already hollowed out its own industrial base, the West is no longer capable of executing a second or third wave of construction at scale. The transition was only possible in the first place because China turned itself into the greatest manufacturing powerhouse in history, producing up to 90% of global turbines, panels, and components. This has also become a colossal transfer of wealth and power to China.

Ironically, China built its renewable manufacturing juggernaut on the largest fleet of coal-fired power plants in human history. That fact alone is one of the cardinal flaws in wind-solar physics: intermittent sources alone cannot power their own replacement.

Proven fossil fuel reserves provide a clear timeline based on current consumption: coal (~132 years), natural gas (~143 years), and oil (~53 years).

The structural expansion to accommodate wind solar is expected to cost $275 trillion - yet coal, oil and gas still provide 81% of the world's primary power - wind solar 6.5%.

The world's mining and industrial complex could soon stagger under a tidal surge in demand for raw materials, just to keep the blades spinning and maintain a baseline generation capacity.

The United Nations worst case global warming scenario collapsed a few months ago after admissions the modellers got it wrong.

The world is no longer facing a 5.5°C warming trajectory by 2100 at all. That target has been removed as 'implausible'. Yet this was the chief driving reason for a global transition away from fossil fuels, and replacing them with energy from wind turbines and solar panels.

This effort to harness wind and sunlight could become one of the greatest economic disasters in modern history, costing $275 trillion by the time a new fully developed infrastructure is in place by 2050. This would include a second global power grid costing $21 trillion.

The UN explanation—'We are on track for a 5°C apocalypse if we don't immediately upend the global economy'—is dead.

Removing its extreme scenario creates a distinct institutional challenge for a climate bureaucracy that spent 25 years leveraging fear. We are left with a blighted rural landscape, trillions of dollars spent on a gigantic physical overbuild and the likelihood that this will become a self-fulfilling, replacement loop every 20 to 30 years.

The scientific community has acknowledged that the catastrophic, upper-end predictions were built on flawed, outdated economic models, because early modelers failed to understand real-world market trends.

First made available in 2011 to drive global climate policy, this extreme scenario—known widely as RCP8.5 (and later SSP5-8.5)—served as the primary engine for the media's terrifying 'business-as-usual' headlines for over a decade.

It was built on assumptions that humanity would aggressively abandon clean tech, undergo an unprecedented five-fold increase in coal use, and even resort to converting coal to oil to run vehicles. Those apocalyptic projections simply didn't occur and fossil fuels produce 81% of global primary energy; wind-solar 6.5%.

With the retirement of the extreme 5C baseline for the upcoming 7th Assessment Report (AR7), the ceiling for projected global warming has dropped significantly. The newly proposed high-emissions baseline has been downgraded to a maximum of 3.3°C by 2100.

The climate narrative has now officially shifted from an existential struggle of 'apocalypse versus survival' to a standard problem of risk management.

Developed in the early 2010s, RCP8.5 was intended to reflect its worst-case scenario available at the time, according to an analysis by Carbon Brief. It modeled a future with rapid population growth and massive, unchecked coal expansion where global coal use would increase multifold by 2100.

Media outlets, advocacy groups, and financial regulators defaulted to RCP8.5, creating a vision of unchecked coal expansion. Yet while real-world coal production did rise—driven by China and India to roughly 9 billion tons annually—it never approached the absurd 5x multiplier required by the UN’s old models.
