I think most people are reasonable and would like to know if they were potentially endangering a person’s health or life with their snack choices

Flying with severe peanut allergy. @tapairportugal refused to make an announcement requesting passengers not to eat peanuts during flight, saying it would be against their rules. Have never had this issue with any other airline. @AnaphylaxisUK @WrongedByTAP #anaphylaxis

@tapairportugal @AnaphylaxisUK @WrongedByTAP There is nothing in the information here that would preclude cabin crew from making an announcement requesting people not to consume peanuts during the flight. I was told it would be against airline rules to do so- please send me a copy of the rule(s) in question.

While they ultimately agreed not to sell products containing peanuts, a passenger announcement would give an added layer of comfort. It’s a small thing that helps greatly with worry and risk. Bizarre that it could be against @tapairportugal rules. @AnaphylaxisUK #anaphylaxis
