So incredibly thankful for my community of family, friends, and mentors who supported me through this process and kept me uplifted and sane while I counted down to today!
Elated and over the moon to share that I matched into Surg Onc fellowship at @MDAndersonNews#FellowMatch
#Match2026 is in the books! Congrats on the next chapter of your surgical journey. 🎉
The ACS Resident and Associate Society, @RASACS, is your community for mentorship, leadership opportunities, education, and resources designed to help you grow and thrive during training.
No matter where you matched, you are now part of something bigger.
P.S. It’s free to join.
Re-enactment of my reaction to getting the @AmBdSurg Certifying Exam results email.
Glad to report, I passed!! I’m officially a board certified general surgeon! 🥳🥹
Hi all! Ecstatic for the opportunity to give back to @AcademicSurgery. Please consider supporting me in either the Education, DEI, or Technology and Communications Committees where my passions/prior experiences intersect. #ElectMyAAS

I’ve also found that debriefing after each case also helps with understanding technical/decision-making nuances, esp in complex cases.
What resource(s) do you recommend to keep up with the latest literature?
Month 3 of fellowship recap/tips:
-Fellowship is amazing! It’s both equally challenging & rewarding.
-Take lots of notes, esp in the OR (helps build your pref cards).
-Cliche, but read as much as possible (incl landmark trials & new studies).
-Enjoy the process (& the views)!
Completed my year as Chair of the Communications Working Group! What a year! So excited to see the wonderful work that will continue to come from @RASACS. #ACSCC25
