Meet Unfold, showcasing the visual reasoning power of @OpenAIDevs’s GPT-6 Astra. Turn 2D assembly manuals into animated 3D guides, identify parts from a photo, and ask a voice copilot to explain or replay a step while your hands are full.

Built for the GPT-6 Astra Hackathon: Singapore, by @OpenAIDevs@gabrielchua@SherryYanJiang@brianchew@injaneity.
I had my bottom kicked by maths in first year of Uni, about ten years ago. Going in without Further Maths back then was a disadvantage.
But now that we have a 24/7 tutor which allegedly solved some Millennium problems, perhaps it’s time to give it a second try.
I just rebuilt a data processing pipeline from scratch, from early 2025. It took me two weeks of weekday evenings then, when all I had was an in house tool built on Sonnet 3.7.
Today with Opus 5.5, it took me just half an hour. Absolutely wild.
Gave the @wesbos photo frame dashboard a go!
Besides calendars and to do lists, frames also make for pretty weather maps.
Built with Codex and hosted entirely on ChatGPT Sites. Astra did really well for this project.
I made an app where you can drop any PDF and you get 3D instructions. Built with Opus 5.5 + Jig
Of course my first target is @IKEA so I turned their top 20 manuals into 3D. The prompt is just a PDF and "/assembly". That's it.
Either I get sued or we finally get the instructions we deserve.
Check it out here, you can also make your own (it's free!)

@injaneity ikr. makes you wonder what they’re shipping
tbh replicating their workflows and frameworks, even at the smallest scale, has been incredibly educational
Really excited at what’s possible when intelligence becomes cheaper in the future
a quick @bot pro tip: if you're burning your grok bot weekly usage in 3 days it's almost never the chats.
check your routines.
an hourly schedule or a slack trigger on a busy channel pinging you repeatedly can eat a whole week by itself.
you can try to widen the schedule, or generally create specificity around when the triggers fire (only when tagged on slack, for instance, instead of every message in the channel).
Found this snippet from my farewell letter to my first batch of physics students back in 2019 - I miss my optimism, idealism and love for writing from years past
