TMC MLA Madan Mitra walked out of Mamata Banerjee's TMC to join Ritabrata Banerjee's faction—the very same Ritabrata whom he had labelled a "rapist" just days ago. When questioned about this apparent contradiction, Madan Mitra responded:

"What does rape mean? Those painters painting the house next door—that is also rape. If someone rubs their head against a wall, that too is rape."

Such remarks trivialize a grave crime and reflect a deeply disturbing mindset. TMC leaders must choose their words responsibly, people have had enough of them.

• Amul – ₹650 crore to strengthen dairy infrastructure and processing.
• JSW Infrastructure – ₹832.25 crore investment in the Kolkata Dock System.
• Mitsubishi – Proposed semiconductor fabrication facility in Durgapur/Panagarh.
• Adani Group – Proposed Tajpur Deep Sea Port, along with a ₹2,500 crore Adani Arogya Mandir Super Speciality Hospital & Medical College.

Even without assigning values to the proposed Tajpur Deep Sea Port and Mitsubishi semiconductor fab, the pipeline already exceeds ₹28,000 crore in investments.

For too long, West Bengal has lost investment, industries and employment because of political violence, corruption and policy uncertainty. That chapter is coming to an end.

A BJP government under Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari will restore investor confidence, accelerate industrialisation, create lakhs of jobs and put Bengal back on the path to becoming India’s growth engine.

The era of fear and stagnation is ending. The era of investment, industry and employment is about to begin.

The manner in which our Party colleagues, including a sitting MP and MLA, were attacked in West Bengal for serving the people affected by floods and landslides is outright appalling. It highlights the insensitivity of the TMC as well as the absolutely pathetic law and order situation in the state.

I wish the West Bengal Government and TMC were more focussed on helping people rather than indulging in violence in such a challenging situation. I call upon BJP Karyakartas to continue working among the people and assist the ongoing rescue operations.

আমার প্রিয় জেলা পুরুলিয়ার চিত্র তুলে ধরলাম। চিত্রটি পুরুলিয়া রেল স্টেশনের। এলাকার শ'য়ে শ'য়ে যুবকরা ভিন রাজ্যে পাড়ি দিচ্ছে কাজের জন্য।

আপনার ঢপের 'শ্রমশ্রী' প্রকল্পকে বৃদ্ধাঙ্গুষ্ঠ দেখিয়ে ওরা পরিযায়ী শ্রমিক হিসেবে বাইরের রাজ্যে পাড়ি দিচ্ছে মাসে পাঁচ হাজারের থেকে অনেক বেশি টাকা আয় করার জন্য। এই চিত্র দেখলে দুটো ব্যাপারে নিশ্চিত হওয়া যায়; প্রথমত আপনার শাসনকালে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের কর্মসংস্থানের এমন বেহাল দশা যে বাঙালিদের বাধ্য হয়ে ভিন রাজ্যে পাড়ি দিতে হয় কাজের খোঁজে, দ্বিতীয়ত ভারতবর্ষের কোনো প্রান্তেই কোথাও কোন বাংলাভাষীদের হেনস্থা করা হচ্ছে না কিংবা বাঙালি অস্মিতা আক্রান্ত নয়। সবটাই আপনার মনগড়া, ভোট রাজনীতির পরিকল্পনা। পশ্চিমবঙ্গের সকল সচেতন নাগরিক তা ভালো ভাবে বুঝেছেন।

এই শ্রমিকদের যদি নিজের রাজ্যে রেখে দিতে চান, আগামী বছরের নির্বাচনের বৈতরণী পার হওয়ার জন্য রাজনৈতিকভাবে উদ্দেশ্যপ্রণোদিত সৃষ্ট প্রকল্প 'শ্রমশ্রী' না চালু করে কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগের 'শ্রীবৃদ্ধি' ঘটানোর চেষ্টা করুন। তবে আপনি সক্ষম নন এটা করতে, হল��� আগেই তা করে দেখাতেন, নির্বাচনের পূর্বে এক বছরের জন্যে ভাতার প্রলোভন দেখিয়ে, পরিযায়ী দের ভোট নেওয়ার উদ্দেশ্যে তাঁদের ফেরত আনার চেষ্টা করতেন না।
আগামী বছর বিজেপি ক্ষমতায় এলে রাজ্যে কর্মসংস্থানের 'শ্রীবৃদ্ধি' হবে। এবং এই সকল যুবকদের বাইরের রাজ্যে পরিযায়ী শ্রমিক হিসেবে যেতে হবে না। নিজের রাজ্যে কর্মসংস্থান পাবে। সেই দিন বেশি দুরে নয়।

২০১৪ সালের পর থেকে অদ্যাবধি এই ১১ বছরে ৩১ কিলোমিটার মেট্রো রেলের লাইনের কাজ সম্প্রসারণ করা হয়েছে। শুধুমাত্র ২০১৯ সাল থেকে ১৮,৬৪১ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় করে সারা কলকাতা তে মেট্রো লাইন বসানোর সাথে হাওড়া কেও মেট্রো নেটওয়ার্ক এর মধ্যে আনা হয়েছে। বর্তমানে বারাসত, ব্যারাকপুর অব্দি সম্প্রসারণের কাজ চালু রয়েছে।

আগামীকাল কলকাতা মেট্রো রেলের যে প্রকল্পগুলি আপনি দেশবাসীর উদ্দেশ্যে উৎসর্গ করবেন তার ফলে নেতাজি সুভাষ চন্দ্র বসু আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দ��, হাওড়া স্টেশন, শিয়ালদহ স্টেশন, সেক্টর ফাইভ এর আইটি হাব কে সংযুক্ত করবে। যাতায়াতের সময় বাঁচার সাথে যাত্রা হবে সুগম ও আরামদায়ক। পাশাপাশি চক্র রেলের স্টেশনের সাথে সমন্বয় সৃষ্টি করে মেট্রো স্টেশন তৈরি হওয়ায় যাত্রীদের শহরের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে যাওয়া ও প্রধান রেল স্টেশনগুলোতে পৌঁছানো অত্যন্ত সহজ হয়ে উঠবে।

মেট্রো রেলের মতো উ��্নত মানের গণপরিবহন ব্যবস্থা গড়ে তুলে আমাদের রাজ্যের রাজধানী কে হাতের মুঠোয় থাকা বস্তুর মতো সহজলভ্য করার জন্য আপনাকে জানাই আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ 🙏

So, Mamata Banerjee’s cheerleaders think they’ve “debunked” the industry-averse tag? Let’s rip the PR mask off.

Fact 1: Between April 2011 and March 2025, 6,688 companies shifted their registered offices out of West Bengal. This isn’t some paperwork blip — it’s a mass exodus. And 110 of them were listed companies.

Fact 2: The flight of businesses peaked right under Mamata’s nose:
• 2015–16: 869 companies fled
• 2016–17: 918 companies fled
• 2017–18: 1,027 companies fled

Fact 3: Where did they go? To states with better governance, lower corruption, and investor-friendly policies — Maharashtra (1,308), Delhi (1,297), Uttar Pradesh (879), Chhattisgarh (511), Gujarat (423), Rajasthan (333), and many more. Bengal’s so-called “wave of development” is in reality a wave of departure.

Fact 4: Bengal’s FDI share is a humiliating 0.60% — while Maharashtra commands 39%, Karnataka 13%, Delhi 12%, Gujarat 11%, Tamil Nadu 7%, and even Telangana nearly 6%. Global investors aren’t fooled by glossy Bengal Global Business Summit brochures when only 4% of announced projects actually materialise.

Meanwhile, under TMC rule:
• 22,000+ factories shut down
• Industrial belts reduced to rust belts
• Britannia packed up
• IFB Agro strangled by excise mafia and extortion
• Crores wasted on ribbon-cutting jamborees while jobs vanish

So spare us the cherry-picked incorporation numbers. Registering an office is not the same as running a thriving industry. The real story is written in boarded-up factories, fleeing companies, collapsing investor confidence, and Bengal’s plunge from industrial pride to economic cautionary tale under Mamata Banerjee.
