it's always funny for me when people portray erwin as someone "less" in love than levi is

like you know these "erwin fell first levi fell harder" and i'm like "are you sure?"

because levi, why, yes, he's someone who shows his love so explicitly, so openly, there are dozens and hundreds of reddit posts with topic like "was levi in love with erwin?" from people who are not involved in shipping/fandom culture, but people so rarely wonder the opposite — if erwin was in love with levi

but erwin's love is quieter and more private. no, you won't hear him openly say it

but he still will order levi to refill his gas in the forest

he still will forbid levi to fight the female titan in the city and will forbid him to join them to retrieve eren — without levi, it will cost him an arm, but at least levi is safe

erwin still will deny levi's proposal for him to go to the beast titan alone and for erwin to get eren and flee — he will turn his offer upside down, so *he* will die and levi will live
