@ProfGMarkets It's almost time to revisit Saylor/BTC and give Scott a big "I told you so". Or are you waiting for Saylor's full humiliation to come first? Won't be long.
@ChrisEconomist Following "it isn't the details [...] I want to focus on here" with "it is whether [...] Australia can change" elides the fact that DETAILS MATTER. Australia can change if the details of the proposed changes make sense and align with the polltical rhetoric. Some of these don't.
@LiamDPower@TMFScottP Yes, so it hurts someone planning a slightly early pre-super retirement who was going to sell down investments and live on a fairly low income. Crazy that they'd go after that of all things
@TMFScottP yeah, been saving like nuts for a slightly early retirement, and this hurts. Thankfully been a bit more income focused, but hey they'll probably get back on the franking credit train next year.
The passing of David Malouf reminds us of all that his genius gave to Australia and the world.
In both poetry and prose, David dealt in hard truths and deep insights. He captured the harsh, vast and intense beauty of our land and the lives it shaped.
His creativity breathed new life into ancient classics and brought him international acclaim in the process.
Throughout it all, he remained a figure of great gentleness, profound strength and unwavering humanity.
Today, generations of writers and readers will be mourning an inspiration.
For as long as David Malouf's words are read, the power of his work will endure.
May he rest in peace.
