🚨 EPFO rules quietly changed; and not in your favor.

Here’s what they didn’t tell you 👇

1️⃣ If you lose your job today, you can’t withdraw your PF for 12 months.
2️⃣ Your pension (EPS) can only be claimed after 36 months (3 years) of unemployment.
3️⃣ Meanwhile, the government keeps using your money; earning interest on it while you struggle to pay rent.
4️⃣ EPFO holds ₹22+ lakh crore of public money; more than any Indian bank’s deposit base.
5️⃣ Salaried class gets no representation, no transparency, no immediate access to their own savings.
6️⃣ They call it “social security,” but it’s really government liquidity insurance.
7️⃣ Try withdrawing; you’ll face server errors, form rejections, and months of silence.
8️⃣ But the government can borrow your PF funds to manage its fiscal deficit anytime; without your consent.
9️⃣ And when inflation eats your savings, EPFO’s interest rate (8.25%) doesn’t even match real-world price rise.
🔟 You worked, you earned, you saved; now you’re being told to wait for your own money.

New EPFO rules introduced by the @narendramodi government in the name of “simplification” are nothing short of looting the hard-earned money of the salaried middle class.

— 25% of the contributor’s amount cannot be withdrawn and will remain locked until retirement.

— The period for availing premature final EPF pension withdrawal has been increased to 36 months, up from 2 months earlier.

— For any partial withdrawal, the waiting period has been extended to 1 year, instead of 2 months earlier.

The Modi government should immediately roll back these rules!

The BJP Govt’s new #EPFO rules are shocking and anti-working people. Forcing people to stay unemployed for a full year before withdrawing their own savings, blocking 25% of their funds till retirement, and delaying pension withdrawal by 3 years is sadistic, cruel, and unjust. When lakhs are already struggling with job losses and rising costs, this decision shows the Union Government’s utter lack of concern for the people of India and exposes its disconnect with the middle class. Locking workers’ hard-earned money instead of supporting them in tough times is inhuman. I strongly condemn these anti-people and draconian rule changes and urge the Govt to withdraw them immediately.

Tax on PF, Tax on LTCG, increased STCG, tax on dividend, increased STT, increased health education Cess, surcharge on high income, increased tax on debt investment, taking away indexation benefits, you name it and they added tax on that.

The "no tax" upto 12L is hardly useful for people earning more than 12L because they've taken away deduction and exemptions of old tax regime on the name of simplicity.

Even after lower new tax regime, you are most probably paying same or more tax in 2025 than you would be paying before 2014 with old regime with deductions, exemptions and inflation adjustment.

The 50L in 2014 is atleast 1.2Cr in 2025, if you understand it, you will find all these policies by this Govt nothing but a gimmick.
