@is_glasgow I’ve made Inverclyde my home for the last 20 years and I love these.
I had family who worked at Ferguson’s Marine (Shipyard) 🛳️, right next to this park and I’ve a real sense of pride every time I see the #skelpies.
If you didn’t see, @ScotRail confirmed that it had been dropped off with staff at the next station, so it’ll have been well looked after.
There are lots of gardens that back on to the train lines around the Hillington stations, so it probably slipped through a gap in a fence.
Hopefully it’s already been reunited with its owner. 🤞
Top marks to the @scotrail driver who rescued the white dog wandering on the lines at Hillington West around twenty to six tonight.
Our train stopped a few yards short of the platform, and I saw this wee fella trotting along the railway line beside us. Thankfully our service and two Glasgow-bound trains stopped to let the dog get where it needed to be.
We got off and from the bridge saw the dog had made its way back up to the platform. The next train slowed to a crawl and stopped beside it. Although it’s hard to tell from the distance, it looks like the driver opened the cab door and the dog jumped in.
Hopefully the dog enjoyed the ride in a Class 380 and was safely reunited with its humans!
Well that’ll explain my my latest Vinted MacBook Air isn’t charging the battery… the connector has been ripped off the board.
I bought it for the screen, but now I fancy repairing it.
The only other issue I found was no keyboard backlight, so I don’t know if that hints at SMC issues. 🤔
It’s obviously had a tough life and there are plenty screws missing on the logic board but it powered up and installed Mojave fine.
A1466 2017 with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD, so would still be pretty usable.
Fantastic to see Kelvingrove Park’s Stewart Memorial Fountain in full flow. I don’t recall ever seeing it in action before.
Engineers were working on it, so I’m not sure if they were just testing it…

@YardleyShooting Yes! I cannot understand why people aren’t more upset!
Maybe during the COVID era people just became used to the government having total control over them… Self-determination took a back seat.
Maybe.
The UK government is heading down a slippery slope with the social media ban for under-16s.
Access to the internet is a right (Article 10 of the ECHR), and I shouldn’t have to prove my identity. That’s what the proposed on-device token-based system would require.
This trend needs reversing before we end up as bad as Australia.
Not sure how that happens, though? Public pressure surely?
Wow.
That’s a first.
I left the house this morning with a Pegasus 41 on one foot and a Pegasus Trail 5 on the other.
By the time I remedied the situation I had to run for the train.
Thank goodness for appropriate footwear!

@madebygoogle is there a known issue with the Nest app connectivity? I’ve tried reinstalling the app and even trying VPNs, I get the error “Nest app had trouble communicating”.
Seems to communicate well enough for email 2FA to work though…
