@RigasDome Ak tad pasliktinājusies gan! Uztaisiet vēl dažas neizbraucamas ielas centrā, kur mašīnas ilgstoši spiestas gaidīt sastrēgumos, un tad žēlojaties, ka gaiss slikts.
The farmer who called in the RAF Fairford incident has spoken. And she's not having Wes Streeting's spin.
There were "definitely more than five," she says. Eight to ten. Faces covered. All dressed the same, "almost you'd have thought perhaps it was what they'd been told to wear."
Five were arrested. All five are now out on bail.
Streeting went on the telly to say she only had a "partial picture." Her reply? Nobody in any official capacity has even been in touch with her.
So: a declared major incident. The one witness from that night says more men were there than were ever arrested. Not one official has picked up the phone to her.
But the Defence Secretary found time to go on the BBC and mark down her account.
Something doesn't add up. 🤔

Today alone, and in Kyiv alone, Russian jet-powered drones “vanquished” two kindergartens and two schools, an ordinary residential building, an auto repair shop, several warehouses, and communications facilities. Anywhere in the world, this choice of targets would be called by one word – terrorism. Russia has no military objective whatsoever in doing this – it is purely an attempt to break people and inflict as much harm as possible on our society. Tragically, there are people killed… My condolences to their families and loved ones. Dozens of people were injured. Overall, since yesterday, the Russians have used 277 attack drones of various types, 155 of them jet-powered. Among the damaged sites is also a building used as the residence of the Saudi Arabian Ambassador. In the Dnipro region, a sports school is among the damaged facilities. In the Sumy region, the building of a regional children’s home was damaged.
If Russia were truly preparing for any real steps toward de-escalation – as it claims, particularly to American negotiators – this wave of “shahed” terror would not be happening. And we need to take a sober view of the situation. Russia knows how to send the kind of encouraging diplomatic signals that the world simply wants to hear… It knows how to send such signals in order to delay tough steps by the world in response to the war.
In America, the important Lindsey Graham sanctions and tariffs law has already reached the implementation stage. It is a law that can change a lot for the better if fully implemented. This law needs to be implemented – and everyone in the world can see that there is EVERY REASON to apply it and A CLEAR PURPOSE for doing so. We are counting on effective decisions from the world and stronger pressure from our partners, so that Russia sees that manipulating diplomatic signals will not allow it to keep winning more and more time for war and terror. It is important that our other partners in the G7 and G20 also take a principled stance.
New sanctions packages are being prepared – specifically targeting financial networks, supply chains for components and equipment used in the production of Russian weapons, and specific companies and individuals primarily involved in the production of Russian ballistic missiles. The new sanctions must take effect as early as October to provide a stronger foundation for changing the situation and pushing Russia toward real diplomacy. Thank you to everyone who helps Ukraine! Thank you to everyone working 24/7 to provide greater protection for Ukrainians and our state!
In 1964, a young University of Michigan anthropologist went to live with a tribe untouched by modernity.
What he found destroyed the noble savage myth.
Then his own discipline spent the next four decades trying to destroy him for publishing it. 🧵
@ThomasVLinge Let me tell you as a German with a history degree that this is an even better sign than it looks like.
Once the mass surrenders of entire units start after years of barely anyone surrendering shit's about to go downhill very quickly.
We are approaching the final phase of this.👇
The fact that Marx was financially dependent on the capitalism of the Engels family to fund him as he wrote against capitalism is illustrative of the entire nature of the Marxist project.
Moscow’s genocidal plan: Ukrainian intelligence obtained secret Kremlin documents
They revealed a detailed strategy for striking civilian infrastructure during the winter.
Even Western officials were deeply disturbed by the details.
These days, many populists in the US and Europe say that the war in Ukraine does not concern them.
But I remember the American and European officials who came to Ukraine for years demanding that we give up our nuclear weapons, dismantle missile systems, reduce our military, and destroy thousands of tanks and APCs.
Back then, a strong Ukraine was apparently needed by no one.
Even today, support is often provided only in quantities enough to stop Russia’s next offensive, while we are now facing the possibility of having even that support taken away.
This is why Ukrainians trust no one anymore.
Because we remember everything.
Brazil, Mozambique, and Angola were longer Portuguese than Crimea was Russian. Greece and Bulgaria were longer Turkish-Ottoman than Crimea was Russian. The list is long.
"Crimea was always Russian" is imperialist, messed-up logic that sounds simply wrong in the 21st century.
VIDEO OF THE DAY: Sybiha asked Lavrov three questions he said Lavrov would not be able to answer
🔵 “Why won’t your president sit down with our president to end this war?
🔵 In August, you lost tens of thousands of soldiers to seize a few square kilometers. What did they die for?
🔵 You wanted Kyiv in three days. How did you end up with Moscow burning four years later?”
Brussels is *the* example of why mass migration is not a good long term solution to demographic decline.
Half of its population is foreign-born, 3/4 is of foreign descent, and 40% is non-European... and it still suffers from demographic decline and the lowest TFR in Belgium.
