@Down10_@crulge @KrangTNelson Robots for live action props and amazing animation department. Most hand-drawn animation is done at 12 frames per second, but they did 24fps to match live action. Richard Williams tells a story of being in a hotel room with plexi on his lap animating.
@garius "Jim and Tina bought this cottage in rural Northamptonshire and were stunned to find three hundred barely decomposed Napoleonic era Grande Armée grenadiers under the patio."
"We've brought some students, a Worzel Gummidge impersonator and half of Steeleye Span to find out why."
One thing I love about Time Team is you get episodes that are just:
"We're in a West Sussex garden that's just FULL of skulls. We have three days to find out why."
And nobody is fazed by it. Everyone in the village will be all:
"Oh yes. Janet's house. With all the skulls"
@CloseCallSports There was a balk in yesterday's Twins-Dodgers game. I only saw a very short clip, but I think it may have been a "third throw to the runner but don't get him out" balk which could be a good short video?
One traveler, multiple prohibited items. That's what @TSA officers at Daniel K Inouye Int'l Airport in Honolulu found recently during routine screening. Traveler had a 🔪 concealed in a comb, a collapsible baton & a butterfly 🔪 taped to his leg. Why didn't he just check these?🤦♀️
It appears to be @mvpschools policy to trap 18-year-olds with anxiety disorders on busses that haven't moved in over 30 minutes despite being 6 blocks from her home. No safety issue, just the driver worried she'll be fired.
@PushinUpRoses I like the second one with the paint sloping downwards, feels like butterfly wings to me. The tension of the third is cool and I can see people loving it, but not my speed.
Elon tried to sell his acquisition of Twitter as a free speech issue.
But the reality has been proven to be the opposite. He is using it algorithmically to censor ideas he doesn’t like, and promote ones he does.
Exactly as his critics said would happen.
@vaspider@Ranting_Trans Something like this happened to me when I transitioned (at 39) and went to Our Whole Lives training. It was a bit weird being the only one with a solo room, but they never once suggested I room with a guy.
I wonder if a small town or suburb could harness waste heat from a data center in winter. Even if we didn't run it to individual homes, could what about indoor public spaces? Malls, rec centers, etc.
@wiredferret@snipeyhead Here's what it looks like on the bench. The lights got screwed into the wall, and a cable runs from the switch to the lights.
