Most diabolical part of our political system is forcing people to chose between two objectively terrible politicians, then watching people become such passionate defenders of their preferred turd they never ask why they only get to choose from turds.
Malevolent system.
@AJFrancis410 It's wild that someone who was in WWE for a cup of coffee is this upset, for him botching being brought up.
If anybody's parents fucked up by breeding dog, look in the mirror. As far as the wrestling business is concerned, you're a fart in the wind. Try not being a bigot over it
I think it's ugly and offensive that election season is in the most sacred, beautiful, cozy time of year that is November and the holiday months.
Politics end up overpowering what should be a time of focus on family, timeless traditions, and slowing down.
Sacrilegious to me!
You know you’re in danger when you’re being encouraged to live a life fueled more by hate than by love:
"Your hate makes a lot of people money and your paranoia keeps you glued to the people who are extracting your sanity and wealth to your detriment." —@wrong_speak
A lot of people skip the exploring ideas stage and go straight to the supporting ideas phase in a way that inevitably leads to boring, cyclical, and irrational thinking.
We live in an age, where the exact same people that run around calling literally everyone they disagree with "Nazis", are now openly harassing and attacking Jews on college campuses.
Let that sink in for awhile.
I wonder how much the popularity of “everybody should be in therapy!” is less proof of growing mental health problems and more proof of growing abdication of the responsibility to genuinely listen to the people around you.
Family diminished by influencers and pundits.
Culture diminished by pop culture and media.
Personality diminished by political ideology.
The casualties of too much connection beyond your immediate sphere of influence.
@ddaazzkk @LilyyCollinz@nocontextmemes Secret Wars came out in 1984. But "Black Suit Spider-Man" was a thing for most of the 80s, and people saying "Um, actually, that's Venom's suit", are just proving they don't actually know the pop culture they think they do.
@nocontextmemes Dude was in the right, almost.
Shout out to all the fellow geeks who immediately thought to themselves "Actually, Secret Wars came out way before '88 ('84 in fact) even." 🤓
Make no mistake, per usual, Israel's military response in Palestine is overkill, and tragic.
But stupid bullshit like Queers for Palestine, shows you just how clueless most people truly are. The same people who cheered Israeli's being murdered, would want YOU dead for being gay
@Aella_Girl It is very typical of today, to see people's tone-deaf, childish reaction to a revelation of such atrocity, be like "Yeah but, the WHITEYS did bad things too!"
I think many tribes were better off before "colonialism", but some tribes also really were pieces of shit themselves.
@spikedonline This posits the notion that the "movement" was started from any kind of good-intentioned place, to begin with. It wasn't. It was literally vulture capitalism, preying on white guilt over a man's death they had nothing to do with. It's an ideology built on racism.
Activism that doesn’t anticipate unintended consequences and doesn’t make a serious effort to acknowledge and self-correct those errors isn’t fighting for justice or truth.
They’re competing for attention at the cost of those they’re trying to help.
@KennyOmegamanX While on the one hand, you have a point, Kenny, considering some of the cringe-worthy, childish trash you've talked on here at times, I somehow don't think you're the person to be lecturing anyone on "embarrassing and shameful".
@jess_do_it_x@coachblade Imagine just being the kid, and sucking at running against other boys, so instead he decides to pretend to be a girl, so he can obliterate all local female records. Because he's male.
