This is such a dumb conversation...why do men think motherhood doesn't need worklife adjustments? Oh you planned a baby, oh you should put in your money be your own boss and then ask for 8 hour days. It's like saying buy the company you work for then you can work 8 hour days. 40 hour work week is not less and with a newborn is not easy. Most offices also work 8 or 9 hour shifts so why is the film industry acting like it's a big unattainable standard? There is a recovery and nursing period after birth. The world wants more children because birth rates keep falling but will not make it easy for women to have children without compromising on their pay or their careers at large. The bottom line is women go through different things than men . Someone like Deepika is in a position to bring that change so she is trying to. The problem is that even the most forward thinking men will look at something like this through a patriarchal lens ..."well she choose to be a mom, even if she is an accidental mom"...people should matter and women are people too who go through life differently than men. This is just petty.
