@DarkDementus Dunno why your post has shown up on my timeline but UK winters did not used to be this dreary. Yeah, there was rain but there was also frost and snow, which brightened everything up.
Rarely get frost anymore, let alone snow.
I hate the endless cold damp and grey skies too.

And yet in the 1980s, I don't remember ever hearing about wildfires. Clearly our young arsonists were not up to scratch.

I'm not sure what else to say. They have endless money for helping America and Israel to wage war (AKA the defense budget), but no money for psychiatrists, psychologists, support workers, etc.

@RebelGrizzAli @BillWiIdin It probably wouldn't have made any difference. I needed glasses from about 8 or 9, but due to stubbornness didn't get my first pair until I started secondary school at 12. My vision had only got worse during that time (hence finally *having* to get glasses).

@thecitygrump Why would it be a conundrum? Pollution masking global warming is something I've known about for quite a while.
However, the cooling effects of pollution are no longer enough to offset an increasingly warming world.
