As you can tell by the number of adaptions, Legend of the Condor Heroes is one of our great stories, told by probably the greatest wuxia writer of them all, Jin Yong.

2024 marks 100 years since Jin Yong's birth, and this project exists to honour that anniversary.

It's hard to convey the cultural importance of Legend of Condor Heroes. The novel has been adapted roughly 20 times. The characters are our superheroes. We debate endlessly over who's the best version of each.

It's a bit like being cast as Batman.

XZ has been announced as the lead of China Film Co's big budget film adaption of the classic wuxia novel Legend of Condor Heroes (射雕英雄传: 侠之大者), to be directed by the legendary Tsui Hark.
