After almost 4 years of hard work, I'm very happy to share something which I hope will be a game-changer for election data in Malaysia:
https://t.co/hW0OIDm594
To cut a (very) long story short, the site gives you access to Malaysia's COMPLETE electoral history. Every election, every candidate, every party, every seat - all there at your fingertips.
There are 5 types of datasets available:
• Parlimen/DUN-level results (the 'official' results, covering every single election since 1955)
• Parlimen/DUN-level maps (covering every single boundary-drawing exercise since 1954)
• Anonymised individual-level voter rolls for GE-13, GE-14, and GE-15, as well as Johor 2022 and N9 2023 (more to come soon)
• Saluran (!!!!) level results for GE-13, GE-14, and GE-15, as well as Johor 2022 and N9 2023 (also more to come soon)
• DM-level maps for the latest set (versions going back to 2003 will follow eventually)
Enjoy!
Data-cleaning and curation is bitter work, but once it's done once, everyone can reap the benefits.
I think the govt should build more rapid transit instead of pouring RM7 billion into fuel subsidies
Let's have a little more ambition and start building again
🔴 MRT Petaling Line
🟠 LRT Ampang/Sri Petaling Line extension
⚫️ KTM Batu Caves extension
The same TTDI RA that
- Opposed the construction of pedestrian bridge from MRT Bandar Utama to TTDI
- Opposed new affordable housing for Bkt Kiara longhouse residents
- Opposed traffic calming & pedestrian safety measures
Now opposes new market-rate housing
Don't let them!
Hi @hannahyeoh, salam sejahtera
I think the policy is silly and disconnected from reality, but I appreciate you trying to do something.
No need to "work with Zus to collect the data....analyse the pattern".
Feel free to ask your officers to contact me - using only open-source data (public transport ridership, traffic cams, Google Maps), I can already show you the time distribution of travel into KL in the morning, and out of KL in the evening. And if you add the additional data which gov has access to, you'll get an even richer picture.
Hint: It's massively driven by the time people send their kids to school, and your policy will barely move the needle.
"KL is unaffordable because the median multiple is 4.8"
You're not ready for how unaffordable the rest of the region is
🇲🇾 Kuala Lumpur: 4.8
🇸🇬 Singapore: 5.3
🇮🇩 Jakarta: 9.4
🇹🇭 Bangkok: 10.2
🇻🇳 Hanoi: 18.3
🇵🇭 Manila: 24.8
🇻🇳 HCMC/Saigon: 32.5

Loke said the existing standard of one or two bays per unit inflates development costs and, consequently, property prices.

For context, prof ni kutuk pelajar b40 sebab tak mampu ada proper alat pembelajaran ya. Walhal pelajar tu jawab soalan yg prof tanya sedangkan takde pelajar lain jawab. That’s effort. But still kena hina sbb b40.
So- no thanks, this is so low coming from public health account.
Serius rasa Prof ni layak dapat satu episod penuh. Harap ada host yang sudi jemput Prof borak dalam podcast, bagi kita peluang dengar sendiri kisah dari sudut mata beliau
