When developing a character try to ask
What do they want?
What do they need?
How are those different?
And why can't they have either one
It doesn't matter if they're not a protagonist, or if you won't write down their whole story, their motives need to exist inside your head ποΈ
@ciarasmithwrite My goal is to finish the artwork of my book, I'm actually excited for this one to be done before December, since I want to start the next one as soon as I can βΊοΈ
@Zelda_CThorne I actually color code everything, then I create a new document with the first revision, and revisit it with new colors... I repeat this until I'm satisfied, it helps keeping them all in one folder, and it's fun comparing the first draft with the final published book π
@JanetEmson I started a writing group just for writers who want to talk about their stories, while avoiding any other kind of topic, it really helps to have a closed more private community βΊοΈ
@SheilaEYoung1 Write it for yourself, for your fans, and for whoever gets interested in the future, I'm sure your future self will be grateful you finished your sequelπ
This will give you time to decompress and relax, so when you're back at it again youβll have diminished the mental blocks that might not allow you to go as fast as you could if you rested. #WritingCommmunity#rest
@chxryoung Squarespace if you want to build a website quickly and easily, although it's a bit more expensive, you can use wordpress if you need it a bit more personalized, or if you don't want to spend on squarespace.π
The average writer can type 500 words in an hour,
If you decide the aproximate length of your book beforehand, then you'll know, if you spend 4 hours per week on pure writing you'll have a 104,000 word novel by the end of a year! π
Finding time for writing...
The ideal is to write for about 4-8 hours a day if you are a full time writer
But what if you have a full time job?

In my experience the best thing is to place your writing spaces in a calendar to remain consistent,
I know life can get in the way... so if you can't control your calendar... then you can choose 1 single day of the week and take advantage of that day
