Nintendo has no plans to release an offline version like Animal Crossing Pocket Camp.

New: In an interview with Ohta Publishing's CONTINUE, Hoshino-san explains how Sonic Team are currently hosting recurring fan meets across Asia, as part of the ongoing efforts to expand Sonic's popularity in the east.

"Until now, we didn’t have a clear understanding of 'Sonic’s' name recognition or popularity in Asian regions such as Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. We’re looking to further expand the 'Sonic' series across Asia, and with the goal of gaining a clearer picture of our Asian fan base, we’re touring primarily in Asia to hold these fan meetings."

Noting the diversity between fans old and new in the various regions, Hoshino hopes to incorporate what he's learned across the events into future Sonic initiatives, as Sonic Team pursues greater success in the region.
