Trying to find the origin of the term "Demon King" or "魔王" and while originally it merely reveals to the source of evil in Buddhism more or less in regards to how it appears commonly in fiction the first appearance is FUCKING TOLKIEN IT'S ALWAYS TOLKIEN I'M GOING TO SCREAM

The hate on asexuals are rooted in homophobia. It is a homophobic rhetoric that queerness is inherently sexual so they can't comprehend queer people who doesn't feel sexual attraction.

[wasp | HAPPY SHIROU DAY @silverwasp44]

not to mention all the seiyuus who’ve worked so hard to make the event happen and were obvs excited to meet fans overseas!! what’s infuriating is that this is one case out of many eg. the iranian world cup team + dan and phil’s world tour

[wasp | HAPPY SHIROU DAY @silverwasp44]

and i just tweeted that i hope it won’t come to this… global fans get an uma event that’s relatively more accessible to them but gets cancelled due to bs out of everyone’s control i’m so sad

[Umamusume: Pretty Derby @umamusume_eng]

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the cancellation of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby – 7th EVENT: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES concerts planned for Oct 22–23, 2026.

Although we have coordinated repeatedly with all parties concerned and explored every possible option in our efforts to make this event happen, we were unable to obtain the necessary visas for entry into the US, so we have come to the painful conclusion that holding the concerts is no longer possible.

To all the Trainers who were eagerly looking forward to the show, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern this causes, and for announcing this so close to the event date.

Due to this cancellation, we will process refunds for the following:
・On-site viewing tickets
・Streaming tickets

In addition, we are looking into possible responses to Trainers who were planning to attend the concert in person. This will take some time, so we ask for your patience. Details will be announced on the 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR official website.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes to all the Trainers who were eagerly looking forward to the concerts, as well as to the Umamusume cast, partner company staff, and everyone involved who put tremendous effort into making this event happen.

Please see the link below for the official notice:

@Dalagngahari my status online went from approved to “admin processing” and then finally issued but i was given like zero clarification or proper updates 😭😭 it really puts into perspective just how flawed the entire visa processing system is

[wasp | HAPPY SHIROU DAY @silverwasp44]

why are some people shocked by this 😭😭 i was invited to participate in a HARVARD conference years ago and my visa (which i applied for several weeks prior) only got issued less than 24hrs before my flight. cygames applied 6 months ago this is purely admin’s fault

[Umamusume: Pretty Derby @umamusume_eng]

During preparation for the 7th EVENT: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES concerts planned for Oct 22–23, 2026, we received notice that the visas for entry into the US had yet to be approved.

In response, we are coordinating with all parties concerned to explore every possible option to get the visas approved and make the concerts happen.
Our final decision on whether or not it will be possible to hold the concerts will be announced by 10:00 p.m., Oct 19 (PT), so we ask for your patience until then.

To all the Trainers who have been eagerly looking forward to the show, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern this causes, and for announcing this so close to the event date.

Please check the notice for details.

@Dalagngahari sorry if my og post was unclear but this was my process: waited two weeks for my interview, visa was approved and would be printed after “final processing”. took three weeks and my passport was (thankfully) reissued approx 24hrs before my flight

[wasp | HAPPY SHIROU DAY @silverwasp44]

still unsure why they weren’t more transparent with it (could’ve been during ticket sales), maybe the chance of their visas not being issued just wasn’t within their realm of possibility. for the sake of everyone going i hope it doesn’t get cancelled 😔

[wasp | HAPPY SHIROU DAY @silverwasp44]

HIT TWEET I’M SCARED… but i can’t imagine how MORE frustrating it is for performers (+attendees) to have planned everything and still face these issues. performance visa processing has way more steps compared to a business one, cygames is defo under a lot of stress rn
