@CubsZone Rock bottom? With a near .500 record? It's been a bad month with a lot of injuries. That's not rock bottom. Rock bottom is when a losing team reaches the trade deadline and has nothing to sell. That, and a non-productive minor league system.
@SteveKornacki NBC: Why is tonight's coverage on You Tube constantly interrupting Steve Kornacki with talking heads and spin doctors? Is that because Steve does a great job and your lesser "talent" is jealous?
@JournoRyan I worked in the Sports Publicity Office while a student at Alabama. Kirk McNair can likely verify it was Bryant's policy to wear a credential at games.
@ByCasagrande It was laughable when coaches who played cupcake games early in the season whined that the SEC played cupcake games late in the season. Power Conferences shouldn't play FCS games at all. Quality teams should play quality opponents.
@Cubs I know Anthony Rizzo is retired as a first baseman, but could we have him back as a relief pitcher? That strike out of Freddie Freeman was awesome!
@SNLinReview Was a nice nostalgia episode with appropriate cameos, particularly Chad Smith. I enjoyed Paul McCartney. Good finish to the season. Overall not an exceptional show, but good enough I rate it grade "B."
@CivGame The failure to launch properly for today's livestream is a mirror of what is wrong with Civ 7 -- failure to plan and test adequately before launch.
@PrazMaster@cody__cubs Joe Biagini was the winning pitcher in relief for the Cubs in the last game of the regular season. The Cubs defeated St. Louis 3-2 in 8 innings. It was the only game in his career Biagini appeared for the Cubs, and the last game of his MLB career.
@PrazMaster@cody__cubs I had also thought of the 2021 Cubs. As I recall it was an intentional effort to set the record including callups for the last game of the regular season. A last-game pitcher callup won that day in relief.
@ByCasagrande Lots of great outfits. Special mention for Sabrina Carpenter wearing a dress made of motion picture film from the Audrey Hepburn movie "Sabrina."
@guitarcenter The Allman Brothers Band (1 original lineup, 2 Greg and Cher era)
David Crosby (1 The Byrds, 2 solo)
Chris Hillman (1 The Byrds, 2 solo)
Stevie Wonder
Joe Cocker
Eric Clapton
Judy Collins
and probably a few more
@PulpLibrarian I remember seeing "Battletruck" theatrically when Roger Corman released it in the US as "Warlords of the 21st Century." It's better than most Mad Max imitations of that era.
@SNLinReview Anitta was fabulous, as usual, but overall this was one of the weakest SNLs in a good while. Not sure how much was recycled stuff rejected for other hosts, but it seemed like quite a bit. Overall grade "C," and that's generous. (Anitta gets an "A.")
