As someone who only reads completed fics because I literally cannot handle cliffhangers of any degree, I do feel sorry for authors who don't get as much traffic on their ongoing WIPs as they deserve, but PLEASE don't do this. Nothing will get me to block you everywhere faster.

ive now read THREE fics in just today that were categorized as complete (1/1), not tagged as a wip or 'on going' or part of a collection, that END the fic with nothing resolved and an authors note explaining they 'will write a second chapter if there is interest' via comments...
