@jappleby The fact you can't delete your Threads account without deleting you IG account has me thinking this platform has some dark patterns... dark, dark patterns.
@elsielou77 💯 it freaked me out seeing these women gang up on Holly, as if she wasn't entitled to keep herself safe. To force her to be polite to her abuser!! She is totally within her rights to walk away and protect herself from any situation that makes her uncomfortable. Period.

Thank you @jonbell for redirecting audience Q&A towards @epenzeymoog to share having the floor during the Q&A panel. Not only is her topic important, but not enough guys do that on panels. #Design19
Like car manufacturers, plan for safety in your designs ~ @epenzeymoog on designing against domestic violence. Thank you for taking us on the journey with you 🙏 It's all our responsibility #design19
That moment when you learn something and BOOM 🤯 If you want to get to the core of the problem ask why x5 times! Then you can find the problem behind the problem, behind the problem to solve the problem! Thank you @veen#design19#conferencelearnings#conferencetakeaways♥️
[paraphrase]: “Don’t let developers take over design systems. If you do, you end up with what designers worry about when they fear design systems.”
— @wilkowskidom on why design systems should be evenly balanced and shared by designers and developers.

Both @wilkowskidom & @jina's talks about design systems are more about *people* and community than systems. Thank you for the eye 👀 and heart ♥️ opening words. #design19
Are you listening?👂Or are you just listening in preparation to talk 😥 Thanks @wilkowskidom for the tips @webdirections 1. Take notes, actually put pen to paper and revise your notes after & 2. Repeat what the person told you, clarify your learnings! #listenup#design19
