In September, I won the Undergraduate Narrative Award for Palliative Medicine. Today, I'm in my last week of electives on Palliative Care! It has been a privilege to be part of end-of-life care as a medical student. Thank you @CMAJ + @CSPCP_SCMSP for supporting student writing!

What a treat to see this on my explore page! Dr. Lacombe is a powerhouse in animal physiology and undergraduate teaching. She is also one of the reasons I am in medical school today! Congratulations Dr. Lacombe; your students are so, so lucky to have you!! 💐
Thank you Agnes 💐 for 25 years of educational leadership in animal physiology, and for your dedication to the UBC Biology and Zoology programs

Bittersweet coming together as a class one last time before CaRMS. Almost 4 years and I am still so proud to be part of our #QMed2023 family.

One of my favourite anesthesia moments has been realizing it's spelled "Bair Hugger" and not "Bear Hugger." It could always be worse I guess - technically... "Bare Hugger" would've fit pretty perfectly, too.
As a med student, I will absolutely forego breakfast if I’m late enough. Forgetting to feed a tamagotchi though?! Absolutely not, don’t even think about it.
I need everyone to know that my staff doctor bought me a tamagotchi because yesterday we joked it would be good for my wellness and today she showed up with this !!!!
"In Canada, it [Komagata Maru] is a reminder of a policy of exclusion and racism."
My grandfather told me the story of the Komagata Maru when I was still a kid. It is a heavy one, but one I and many other Sikhs and immigrants carry with them every single day.
What was the 1914 Komagata Maru incident?
Listen to passengers’ descendants and families tell the story of what happened this #KomagataMaruRemembranceDay.

"medical students expand their vocabulary by learning thousands of new words every year!"
me still, when I see the word duodenum: doo-od-din-num...duo-dee-num...duo-dee-um.
things you didn't know were related but are: squids, their axons, and our understanding of action potentials. it's time to put some respect on their names!!!

The pinnacle of the student experience is re-reading your email 30 times to make sure you hit the right balance of polite + professional...and then forgetting to send the attachment.
