Music knows no boundaries; it connects hearts and cultures. At The Lyric Writer conference in Milan, professors Gilbert Gigliotti and Simone Puleo met Italian pop icon Mogol (Giulio Rapetti). An unforgettable experience! 💙🔱

@joelansdale Very well, I'd say! Something very different is the passato remoto, a remote past verb tense w/ no direct equivalent in English that is conventionally used in Italian novels. Makes wise choices in terms of voice, but seeing words like "Kroger o Walmart" in there sure is funny!

Reading @joelansdale in Italiano, for pleasure. Don't usually read a translation of something I could read in English, but it's been an interesting experience, focusing on how translator Luca Briasco handles Joe's prose and his many idiosyncrasies. Almost done!

@Sarahrmoon @space_Amy The Spy is interesting since it put Cooper on the map and is often considered one of the first spy thrillers. The Linwoods is great as Sedgwick blends elements of sentimental and historical fiction: a romance plot with historic implications, set during the revolution...

[Simone M. Puleo @sim_puleo]

@Sarahrmoon I think I have a bib somewhere on the histories, or a draft of an article with misc. sources; I can send it to you if you'd like.
