HMF ICU is full, HDU is full. No more monitoring beds for sick patients. An elderly person with an SpO2 < 60% had to be kept in a chair for more than 1 hour bc there were no beds. Our worst fears have come true, we have to choose who’s more sick.
Wearing a mask under your chin will not servve the purpose of a mask. Some people hav got so used to the mask that it just hangs there under the chin all the time no matter how sweaty ot wet it becomes.
Nurse representation is vital in decision making at national level. They should not be just expected to carry out instructions or implement things others have finalized. Equal opportunities are needed to involve them in planing too.
