Rating- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you’ve grown up watching the classics of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, you simply cannot afford to miss this film. It brings back their signature style and vintage charm.

A superb situational comedy,the kind this duo is known for- the film’s first half is packed with one hilarious scene after another that will leave the audience in splits.

Akshay Kumar shines in several outstanding sequences alongside the late Asrani ji, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav. The comedy doesn’t feel forced,it’s physical, situational, and even a bit naughty at times. The interval block is powerful, with a twist that will genuinely shock the audience.

Director Priyadarshan skillfully blends mythology, horror, and comedy. Who is Vadhushur? What exactly is he? The interval leaves you intrigued and surprised.

While the first half is loaded with comedy, the second half becomes even more engaging, diving deep into Vadhushur’s backstory in a detailed and interesting way. There are multiple twists and turns that are both gripping and unexpected. The climax is fantastic, with impressive VFX. This is one of those rare horror-comedies where both elements work equally well.

Akshay Kumar is fantastic,brilliant in the comic portions, and his transformation in the second half is truly applause-worthy.

On the downside, the film’s music is underwhelming, the runtime feels a bit stretched (it could’ve been trimmed by about 20 minutes), and the second half has very little comedy.

Overall, Bhooth Bangla is a very entertaining film- it will make you laugh and give you a few chills too.

At the box office, it has the potential to do ₹120–150 crore and emerge as a hit.
