‼️Confirmed: #Arsenal will announce the permanent signing of Piero #Hincapie after June 30 for accounting purposes. Worth noting the €52m (£45m) purchase clause was not a traditional buy option. It was a conditional obligation to buy, meaning the transfer automatically became permanent once the agreed conditions were met. In other words, Arsenal didn't t have the discretion to decide whether to complete the transfer. The obligation was triggered automatically upon the fulfilment of the conditions set out in the loan agreement.

As I revealed in an article for @Transfersdotcom last summer, Arsenal had serious interest in signing Morgan Rogers back then.

At the time, complications arose that ultimately prevented a deal from being completed.

However, it was understood that further discussions would take place at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, which is why renewed interest is now emerging.

Significant groundwork had already been completed, and conversations between Arsenal and Aston Villa are expected to continue regarding a potential transfer fee once Rogers returns from the World Cup.

Villa are keen to retain the player and will use that period to try to convince him to remain at the club, but Arsenal's long-standing interest has never gone away.

A powerful new El Niño has officially begun, raising concerns that it could combine with human-caused climate change to drive global temperatures to new record highs.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has confirmed the development of El Niño following a significant buildup of unusually warm water across the tropical Pacific. This natural climate pattern is already releasing large amounts of stored ocean heat into the atmosphere, which is expected to influence weather patterns worldwide.

Scientists estimate a 63% chance that this El Niño will strengthen into a “very strong” or Super El Niño, potentially one of the most intense events since records began in 1950. Because it is occurring against the backdrop of an already warming planet, experts warn it could push global temperatures to unprecedented levels and make 2025 one of the hottest years on record.

The consequences are far-reaching. In the United States, the pattern typically brings wetter winters to the southern states, raises the risk of damaging atmospheric river storms in California, and reduces Atlantic hurricane activity. South America often faces severe flooding, while Australia and Southeast Asia brace for extreme heat and heightened wildfire danger. Rising sea surface temperatures are also threatening marine ecosystems with widespread coral bleaching and marine heatwaves.

As this natural climate cycle overlays long-term human-driven warming, the coming months will provide a critical look at how our planet responds to such combined pressures.

Bradley Barcola Situation

• Moussa Sissoko has been trying to renew Bradley Barcola’s contract for the best part of 9-12 months. Talks have been difficult, and it reached a point where both parties agreed to put negotiations on hold so that Barcola and PSG could focus on important fixtures in April and May.

• Soon after the UEFA Champions League final, talks resumed and remain ongoing. The player reportedly told people close to him that he was disappointed not to start a number of important fixtures.

• PSG’s position is clear: renew or we will sell, as his contract expires in June 2028. Personally, I think that is a significant stance for the club to take.

• Barcola’s agent also represents Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué and maintains a good relationship with PSG. The club is also in serious talks regarding Yan Diomande and Maghnes Akliouche, which could further influence the situation surrounding Barcola.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool are interested, but I want to explain Arsenal’s side of the story.

• Andrea Berta made serious enquiries into Barcola’s situation last summer. At the time, Arsenal were informed that the player would stay for at least one more year. Since then, Berta has remained in constant contact with Sissoko and has made it clear that Barcola is of serious interest to Arsenal. He has also asked to be notified if PSG become open to a sale. Should Arsenal make an official approach towards PSG, there will be a further update.

• Arsenal also hold an interest in Morgan Rogers and one other player(sensitive info currently). More on that in due course.

• As always, Andrea Berta is willing to agree personal terms with multiple targets and make a move when the timing suits Arsenal.

Before I sign off, there is something worth noting. Berta is very happy for misinformation to circulate publicly. Berta & Co are busy behind the scenes, and many details remain unknown as Arsenal move silently.

Allow me to provide a free exclusive as an example of that which is unknown. Arsenal made standard checks on Nico Paz. Nico was reportedly left confused following a recent call with Mourinho, although another conversation may be scheduled. Arsenal have also made serious checks on Christos Tzolis, the Greek winger.

My point is that a great deal is happening behind the curtain. Embrace the silence and, as always, choose your sources of information carefully.
